From Your Awkward Lesbian Friend

If you only knew what I thought of you...

You'd probably be creeped out and never talk to me again.

When I look at you,
I don't know what to do.
I want to wash my sins away with your beauty.

I want to kiss you so much
And I long for you're touch
Or even a slight glance from you're kind, playful eyes.

But, oh, what's the point?

You're a girl.
I'm a girl.

But, hey, we know we have at least one thing in common.

Yeah, that's probably the only thing I can offer you that he can't.

Him.

The one you always talk about with that addictive smile on your face.
The one who doesn't even realize how wonderful you are.

But you adore him anyway, because he

Is him.

Sometimes I hate him.

If only He wasn't.
Maybe then you'd prefer me

over him.

But even if, in another universe,
you did like me,
It would be hard.
Would you follow tradition
Or follow your heart?

I couldn't stand to see this world tear you apart.

No, you can never know.
I'll just play it cool

like I always do.

And dream to kiss you.
And long for your touch.
And never speak of the way I think of you.
I'll never tell you that I love you so much.
