The slender, white skinned figure combed her hair as she stared at the mirror. All the zits on her face were now gone and her lip liner complemented her natural pink lips. She added her dark mascara and purple eye shadow. Her dangling purple earrings were lovely. She looked exquisite, extremely beautiful. She knew it, she could see it, but she couldn't feel it. She winced, pushing the thought away. She shouldn't be admiring herself, she wasn't worth it. She made her hair into a chignon and packed up her make-up kit.
She looked at the time, she had one hour before she had to be at Daffodil Establishment. She removed her dressing robe, revealing the knee length black gown she wore. She played with the purple stones around the waist part of her gown. She slid her small legs into the purple wedge shoes and took one last look at the reflection staring back at her. She went through her black clutch purse, everything was intact. She grabbed the purse and slipped out of the house. She was about to begin a brand new life.

Walking through the streets of Melbourne, the scorching sun brought tears from her pretty black eyes. She waved to stop the yellow taxi cab and slid in. As she got closer to Daffodil Establishment, she recalled all she'd planned to say at the interview. She was developing cold feet and beginning to sweat, no thanks to the hot weather. She had to get a job because that would be the only thing that would keep her from going back to Hamilton. She wasn't ready to go back, back to all the memories and feelings she was now trying to bury. She wasn't ready and she doubted she would ever be.
The cab pulled over, stopping at the gate of her destination. She tried to steady herself and her mind as she alighted. She beheld the magnificent building as she went through the gates. The artistic writing saying 'Daffodil Establishment' once again thrilled her, informing her one more time that she had to be artistic. She was talented. She knew that. She was very good at designing and beautifying things and places. She hoped that was all she needed to get in. All that was needed just so she wouldn't go back to Hamilton.
She sat in front of Mr Bradley's desk, awaiting him so the interview could begin. Everything about his office said one thing, 'Creativity'. Finally, he came in. Setting her heart beat at a faster rate. He was indeed handsome. His primed dark brown hair added to his charm and his side burns were fitting too. His clothes were well scented and a really nice scent at that. He had a nice smile, very welcoming. But just like the other one thousand and one men she had seen, she could see a monster lurking behind.
Bradley owned Daffodil Establishment, still, he preferred to do the interviews and recruitment himself. He felt that way he'd have full knowledge of the persons joining his establishment. Besides his company was still growing. It was big, agreed, but it could be bigger. Maybe then he'd have a personnel office in charge of staff recruitments. But for now, he'll do it.
"Susan Craig?" He asked with a smile.
"Yes Sir." Her small pitched Nightingale soft voice answered.
"Okay then. I'm Bradley Ray." He smiled again. She nodded, smiling. He went through her file in his hands, pausing at intervals to take a quick glance at her. Getting to the last page, he closed the file and looked up at her. "Let's begin." His smile still on his face.

"A first glance at her and I knew she was qualified for the job." He closed the book in front of him.
"Wow! What's it about this new employee?". Scott asked, spinning the swivel chair and sitting down. Bradley tapped the desk with his customised Daffodil fountain pen then dropped it. He looked deep in thoughts.
"I knew it." Scott said. Clapping his hands and laughing. "Bradley Ray definitely has something cooking in that tiny mind of his. No, its a broad mind, broad mind of his." Bradley smiled, giving himself away. " Okay spill. What's the plan?" Scott asked.
