It was night and Ned was in bed early, since classes started tomorrow.
Kaneki's stomach rumbled and he flinched.
It had been about two weeks, and Kaneki had really reached his limit of waiting. At least, the limit to where he wasn't insane.
He slowly crept toward the door and opened it, silently cursing when the door creaked.
He swiftly slipped through the door and shut it as fast and as quietly as he could.
Kaneki made a run for it, speeding down the hallways, his feet barely touching the floor as opposed to making too much noise.
He made it to the dorm doors and opened it, remembering to lock it when he got outside, so that no one suspected anyone getting in or out. He would just climb through the window later.
The breeze hit his face, white hair gently whipping to the right.
Kaneki breathed and slipped on his mask, then took off at supernatural speeds towards the outskirts of town.
Maybe he'd get lucky and find a body.

Ned's eyes fluttered open as he heard the door creak.
He discreetly watched as Kaneki slipped out the door and shut it behind him.
'Just what are you up to?' Ned wondered.
When the door shut, Ned flung off the covers and shoved his shoes on. He grabbed a coat and flung it around his frame messily.
He swung open the door, but Kaneki was no where to be seen in the corridors.
'He couldn't have gone far in such little time.' Ned thought.
He rushed down the halls, making a bit more noise than he would have liked. Luckily, no one seemed to wake up, and if they did, they didn't check to see who or what was making the ruckus.
Ned got to the dorm building doors and realized that it was locked from the inside.
'Kaneki obviously went out these doors and he obviously locked them so no one would suspect that he left. It's still weird since he wouldn't have been able to get back in. Kaneki probably knew that. Just what is going on?' Ned thought to himself as he stared at the door.

Kaneki was barely out of breath as he made it to a small cliff on the side of a road, yet it was tall enough to be killed if someone jumped.
He sniffed the air. He could smell the humans back in Grandview easily.
One particular scent caught his attention. It was just below the railing on the road. It smelled of death, but it was fresh.
