Chapter 8- Bestfriends?

"Madi?" I gasped as she runs to me tears in her eyes.

"Audrey!" She cried collapsing in to my arms staining my shirt with tears almost immediately, I just stood there as she cried in to my purple hoodie, to shocked to say anything.

"Audrey I missed you so much!" She cried

"I've missed you too! How have you been?" I asked curiously as she began to slightly calm down.

"Great" she attempted a smile but failed misserably.

"Do you want to sit down? I can make tea and we can catch up."

"Yeah that would be great." she attempted a smile again before walking to my couch and taking a seat.

"I'll just be a few minutes" I say walking to The kitchen, All that's on my mind is the day she left, the countless letters and Emails I sent and the few responses I got back. I spent months grieving not wanting to leave my room, while Madi was moving on, making friends and living her life without me. Madi was a constant mold of my life, I was always thinking of her and she didn't even care. Why did she come back now? Now that I have finally moved on she has decided to come back to torture me with the past? Or to fix things up maybe? The sound of my tea pot pulls me from  my thoughts, I picked up the pot and pour an equal amount in to two cups dropping a Yorkshire tea bag in each cup before making my way back in to the living room smiling, I need to look strong if Madi thinks that she broke me like she actually did it would be her advantage so I force a look of happiness on to my face. I set her tea on the table and sit opposite of her in a chair.

"So why are you here?" I ask without thinking "I mean not that I don't want you here jus-" she cut me off with her laughter.

"I'm moving back to England Audrey" She smiles, my heart drops but I plant a smile on my face.

"Oh that's awesome!" I laugh

"Yes, Audrey I just want to apologize for all the times I ignored your Emails and letters, I know it was wrong. I just wanted to try and move on ya know? I didn't want to hold on to the past. You could understand that right?"

"No Madi I don't think I do understand." I say coldly

"Look Audrey I really am sorry and I will totally understand if you don't want to be friends anymore but I want you to know I will always be here for you from now on. I'm looking at a flat close by and should be moved in by the end of the month." She hands me a piece of paper and smiles. "Here's my number if you ever want to talk." She says giving me a sympathetic smile, I can tell she really means it. She sighs and turns to leave.

"Madi wait." I sigh standing from my seat.

She turns to face me with hope in her eyes. I sigh and hug her tightly. She laughs and hugs me back

"Friends?" She says holding out her pinkie. I connect my pinkie with hers and smile.

"Best friends" I say and she laughs pulling me in for another hug.

"So do you have a place to stay until you get that flat?" I ask worry audible in my voice.

"Umm yeah of course" she says but I'm not convinced. I give her a look and she sighs.

"No."

"Awesome! You can stay with me!"

"I don't know Audrey I don't want to be burden." She says sadly.

"But Madi isn't this what Best friends are for?" I question a grin on my face, she laughs.

"Okay but my clothes are in the car so I'll be right back."

 "Okay" I say happily picking up our empty cups and taking them to the sink and beginning to wash the dishes and dry them putting them back in to the cupboard, I hear footsteps and I turn around to see Madi holding 3 bags, I laugh and take one leading her to the guest room and sitting her bag on the bed.

"Okay this is your closet, your bathroom and there are towels in the hallway closet if you want to take a shower. So yeah I will leave you to unpack and stuff." I walk to the door and turn "Oh and Madi you can stay as long as you want" I smile in her direction.

"Thank You Audrey this really means a lot to me."

I smile and leave the room.

I walk in to the living area and pick up my book. When my phone starts ringing in the kitchen. I hop up to answer it and catch it just in time.

"Hello?" I answer the phone a little out of breath from ninja jumping the couch in an attempt to answer my phone in time.

"Hey Audrey" I hear the deep Cheshire accent and instantly recognize it as Harry.

"What's up Hazza?" I say happily.

"Not much the boys are over at mine and Louis' flat and they want to meet you so I was wondering if you could stop by?" He asks

"Maybe, but would l be able to bring a friend along?" I ask keeping Madi in mind.

"Yeah I guess that wouldn't be a problem" He answers.

"Okay I just have to see if she's up to it." I smile even though he can't see it.

"Alright well just text me." He says before hanging up.

I walk towards the hallway where Madi's door is located and knock lightly.

"Come in!" She shouts from the other side of the door, I open it and walk in.

"Hey you up to visiting friends with me?" I ask avoiding the fact that were going to visit one of the most popular boy bands on the planet.

"Yeah sure I guess who are they?" She asks.

"Oh just 5 guys I met recently." I say calmly

"Ooooo anyone special?" She asks teasingly.

"I don't know yet. Like I said I just met them but maybe." I say with a wink.

"So are they cute?" She asks

"Well I haven't met four of them but the two I have met are!" I say

"Okay I'm in!" She laughs and grabs her phone off the nightstand walking towards me. I send Harry a text to tell him were on our way and walk outside, I lock the door behind me and hop in my small car jabbing the key in the ignition before Madi was even fully in the car. The car ride was pretty much silent aside from the faint music from the radio. As I pull up in front of Louis and Harry's flat Madi gasps "Woah this is such A nice flat I love it." She smiles, I laugh and put the car in park pulling out my key and opening the door to get out, I walk up to the door Madi's footsteps following behind as I knock on the door, afraid of what Madi's reaction will be when who's behind it is revealed, I see the knob turn and then Louis' smiling face.

"Hi Audrey!" He says with a smile pulling me in for a hug, I hug back and turn to see Madi's expression.

She stood there her jaw dropped in complete shock.

Uh oh.
