Chapter 9- Lightning Show

"Oh. My. God." She whispered.

"Hey there." Louis said, casually smiling as he pulled her in for a hug, she looked over his shoulder at me with wide eyes.  

I laugh and turn to see Harry in the door way with a very cute blonde boy, he stepped forward and hugged me.

"It's so nice to meet you, I have heard so much!" He said happily.

"Good things I hope." I laugh hugging him back. Madi appears beside me and smiles.

"So Madi are you a fan of One direction?" I ask jokingly. She just laughs and I notice The blonde boy looking at her. He hugs her to and introduces him self as Niall. His Irish accent very audible.  

I follow Louis and Harry in to the house chit chating about random things leaving Madi on the porch with Niall only to soon hear their footsteps following in to the living area. I spot two people sitting on couchs one I notice has a black quiff and an extremely perfect face, his arms were lined with tattoos and he had the brightest smile on his face as he laughed at something the other guy had said.

"Hi I'm Liam" The other brown haired one said offering me his hand, I gratefully took it in mine and shook his hand.

"Audrey." I smile

"I'm Zayn" the quiff guy says with a smile offering his hand also, I shook it giving him a smile.

"Nice to meet you." I say directing it towards both of them. 

We all sat down on the couchs and talked for quite along time drinking tea and laughing till we cried. I could see Madi was having a good time and had gotten over the shock she was in when she first realized we were in Louis and Harry's flat with the rest of One Direction.

"So Audrey do you have any plans for a future career?" Liam asked looking intently at me. All the boys and Madi looked my way waiting for an answer.

"Well actually yes I plan on going to law school in September." I say as they all nod approvingly except Louis.

"Doesn't that seem a little boring?" He asks

"Well yeah I guess so but my parents have payed a lot of money for me to be a success and I will do whatever it takes to make them proud." I say with my head held high, Louis remained silent ad looked at the floor and I could tell this was not the end of that conversation. Suddenly I could hear drops of rain hitting the window pains forcefully and realized I had a twenty minute drive home. I groaned and walked to the window looking out side, I heard a loud boom and saw a crack of lightning my Biggest fear ever is lightning. I ran back to the couch and cuddled up next to Louis in fear.  

Louis chuckled a bit before wiping the hair out of my face in a rather comforting manner.

"Audrey are you scared of lightning?" He asked, 

I blushed not wanting to answer that question.

"maybe a little" I said quietly.

"Shes completely terrified of it, it's her biggest fear." Madi said blowing my cover. I looked over at her to see she was sitting rather close to Niall and I stuck my tongue out in her direction.  

I groaned again burying my face in Louis chest before realizing I was practically on top of him. I looked up at him a surprised expression on my face.

"I'm sorry! I-I was j-just scared." I said shyly backing off a bit but not to much because I was still scared.

"It's okay love" Louis smiled brightly and I relaxed. Another bolt of lightning brightened the room and the power turned off, I screamed and jumped right back in to Louis arms. He whispered sweet reassuring things in my ear as I clutched on to his chest in fear.

"Is everyone okay?" Liam asked, I heard a Chorus of yes's and stayed silent. Suddenly the room lit up again another crack of lightning, I tensed and Louis rubbed soothing circles in my back in attempt to comfort me. It was helping a bit.

"Thank you" I whispered, it was barely audible to anyone but Louis who seemed to hear it loud and clear.

"Anytime Love." He said and I could practically hear the smile in his voice suddenly I got really worried. How are we going to get home?

"Louis? C-can we st-stay for the night t-tonight I-I'm to scared to drive." I stuttered almost crying in fear.

"Of course Audrey there's nothing to worry about babe." He said still rubbing circles in my back as I leaned in to his chest fear taking over my body. I was so oblivious to everyone else in the room untill Liam spoke up telling us what we need to do to stay safe. I didn't hear a word he said because of the thoughts running threw my head.

"Do you want to go up to my room and change? You can't be comfortable." He asked gesturing to my skinny jeans and hoodie.

"I don't have any other clothes." I say

"That's fine you can borrow some of mine." he replies.  

By now Liam has candles around the room and everyone is obliviously playing cards pretending we're not there. Louis shifts and I get off of him, he stands and holds out his hand to help me up, I gratefully take it and stand up with the help of him. We begin to leave the room when Nialls thick Irish accent interrupts us, we both turn.

"Where are you sneaking off to?" He asks giving us a look.

"I was just gonna give Audrey some of my clothes so she can be comfortable." Louis says smoothly. 

I look at Madi to see she's wearing a hoodie and leggings so she can't be too uncomfortable, she winks at me and I laugh as Louis pulls me out of the room. Once we get up the stairs finally after falling twice in the darkness he lets go of me. We walk down the dark hallway and I hear a door open, he pulls me in and I let out a small yelp as he closes the door behind us, all I can hear is small shuffling around the room but I'm to scared to move in fear I might run in to something after a short amount of time I feel, Louis place soft cloth in my hand.

"Do you have a washroom?" I ask

"Yes" he replies and I feel his hand travel to the small of my back gently guiding me towards the bathroom once were inside he pulls out a lighter, after it sparks a few times he succeeds in igniting a flame. The light highlights his features and I watch as he opens a cabinet and pulls out a candle, lighting it and setting it on the counter. I give him a small smile.

"Thanks Louis, for everything."

"No problem Audrey." He smiles and kisses my cheek softly before leaving the room so I can change. After changing in to the clothing Louis provided which was quite loose on me, I open the door and walk in the room to see Louis in just his boxers. I laughed and sat down on the bed watching him walk over to his closet with a wide smirk on his face. He pulled out a pair of sweat pants and pulled them on so they loosely hung on his hips. A boom of thunder interrupted my thoughts landing my gaze on the window instead of Louis' body. I jumped and began to shake with fear as Louis sat down on the bed and pulled me in to his arms. I was completely distracted by his toned body like oh my god. He seemed to notice because he smirked and continued rubbing my back soothingly.

"Goodnight Audrey." He leaned down and kissed my forehead slowly as I smiled up at him tiredly and yawned.

"Goodnight Lou." I sighed cuddling in to him and falling asleep.
