“So what happened last night,” Nicole said as she finally rolled out of bed.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Michele said as she put on her red work shirt and matching khaki shorts.
Michele had planned on going straight from work to Logan’s house for the party and wanted just the right outfit for the evening.
“I can’t believe I feel asleep, Jackson must have thought I wasn’t interested,” she said.
After explaining to Nicole the contents of the evening that she and Jackson had both fallen asleep at nearly the same time on the couch, she felt relieved that she didn’t miss anything.
“So did you and Logan fall asleep too,” Nicole asked hoping for some juicy details.
Trying to downplay their goodnight kiss, Michele just said that they both watched the movie and that was it.
“He didn’t even try to kiss you,” Nicole asked sounding disappointed.
“No he didn’t! Nicole said emphasizing the word he.
“What!” You kissed him! Tell me everything I want every single detail leading up to the kiss and his reaction.
“It was nice.”
“Nice?”
“Okay it was more than nice, it was amazing,” Michele said as she unconsciously touched her lips with her left index finger, trying to remember the exact feeling when their lips touched.
Not wanting to go into more detail, Michele left it at that. Nicole sensing Michele’s unwillingness to share that private moment dropped the subject and headed downstairs to pack up and head out.
On her drive to work, Michele kept replaying the scene from last night. She thought it was so unlike her to act like that and wanted to know where that moment of weakness came from. Was it something Nanny had said or something else? She wasn’t feeling guilty about breaking her “no boys” rule, she couldn’t figure out when that had changed last night.
Entering the gym and setting up for her first class, Michele kept wondering of what Logan thought of the kiss meant. Did that mean they were together or was it some momentary lapse in judgment?
When her class started at 10, Michele had to change gears and get ready for 60 minutes of Beginning Ballet with a class of 12 eager kids all under the age of 5.
“So today we are going to start by warming up,” Michele said demonstrating several simple stretching exercises. Just then the door opened to the gym.
Walking into the gym in a pair of blue shorts and a gray tightly fitted sleeves t-shirt, Logan smiled as he saw her.
“Logan, I’m in the middle of class can I talk to you later,” Michele smiled as the rest of the class giggled.
“No, I’m in the right place, I’m taking this class today,” he said. “I just paid my $10 so I expect to get what I paid for.”
“You know that this is a ballet class?”
“I know, I need to learn just like they do,” he said. He took his place next to little girl with a side ponytail wearing a pink leotard who just looked up at his like he was her new best friend.
