I stood there in shock a little.

I knew he wasn’t going to shoot me, but I also knew that was what he called a gift. So now I guess you could say Samantha Brooke is now the proud owner of a gun. Not what I was expecting.

“You know most women I know would love it if their boyfriend got them a necklace or a car, but nope. Apparently it’s totally cool to get your girlfriend a gun as a present” I start to ramble.

Truthfully, guns made me uncomfortable. They could go off at any second and they do much more damage than intended if you asked me. And ever since Caspar got shot, I haven’t been the biggest fan of the weapon.

“I don’t want it” I told him blankly.

He looks at me and I know my defiance will only end in him getting what he wants. “The only way you will leave this house is if you have this with you” he says. “Otherwise, you’re stuck here until you can, I don’t know, go all jujitsu on some guy’s ass while he’s trying to attack you.”

I smirk at that one. Tony walks into the room and sits on the counter, watching the conversation between the both of us. An idea popped into my head. “What if I have Tony?” I ask, cocking my head to the side.

Both boys’ eyebrows go sky high as they stare at me. “For now at least” I assure them. They still didn’t believe me or say anything. I sigh in defeat. “Until I learn how to use the damn gun”

Tony and Caspar look at each other and Tony shrugs. “Just for today!” I exclaim, begging one of them to say something.

“If it’s okay with Tony, I don’t mind” Caspar says and we both face Tony. The poor guy looked completely shocked at the pace of events that had just happened.

“Uh…Um” he said wide eyed. “Sure, I guess, I mean if Caspar doesn’t need me for anything…” Caspar shakes his head.

“Then, yeah sure!” he says and a huge grin breaks out on my face.

“Awesome, okay!” I begin, getting down to business. “Caspar, put that gun away please, I’m going out to catch up with Angela, Tony you’re coming with me and you will sit at a different table that is a safe distance from us, got it? Good!”

Caspar puts the weapon back in his suitcase and I walk back down the hall to my room. Tony had thankfully already brought all my bags into the room and I opened some to get a new outfit.

I quickly texted Ang to tell her wear to meet me and changed into jeans, some Vans, and my favorite oversized sweater. I shook my head so my hair fell in ratty waves.  I kind of liked it that way. After I put on some makeup and grabbed my big purse, I walked down the hall to greet Tony. “Bye, babe” I say and kiss Caspar on the cheek. “I’ll be back in a couple hours”

He grabs my face and kisses me square on the lips for longer than necessary. I could feel Tony feeling uncomfortable. It was awkward. “Casp, I’m not going to my death bed by getting tea with Ang. And stop making Tony feel uncomfortable!”

I turn around and fine Tony and his cheeks bright pink. “Sorry about that” I say and walk to the front door. “Bye Casp!” I call as Tony follows me outside. It’s gorgeous for a London afternoon, with the sun shining down full force.

I get into the driver’s side of the car, leaving Tony disoriented. “Sorry, I’m driving today!” I say, probably sounding more excited than I should.  I haven’t driven in a long time, it felt like.

“Just as long as we’re going to the coffee shop and not like some cult or something” Tony says and I burst out laughing as I back out of the driveway.
