Third Person POV
Scott, Stiles, and Allison spotted Isaac and Ryder sitting together from across the cafeteria. Ryder leaned over and said something to Isaac before standing up and meeting them.
"Sorry about that. Isaac was just finishing up with his story about the Kanima." As they sat down, Ryder looked at the three of them cautiously, as though she had to break the news to them.
"Look don't get mad but Isaac asked me out on a date-"
"He did what?!" Ryder jumped as Stiles yelled.
"I said yes but-"
"Ryder you can't trust him! I thought we went over this!" Ryder flinched at his tone of voice.
"I know and-"
"You can't go! I won't let you!"
"Stiles I think you should let her talk.." Allison tried to stand up for me but I had heard enough.
"You won't let me?! Stiles I can make my own decisions and besides it's only one date and after he promised to never bother me again. I'm not serious about it! It's not like he's asking me to marry him! You can't just tell me what to do as though I'm your sister because I'm not!" Ryder pushed herself from the table and stalked away into the hallway.
"Ryder wait!" She ignored Stiles' protests and continued down the hall. A hand grabbed her arm and spun her around to face him.
"Ryder, please. I'm sorry! I didn't mean to get all possessive. Look, I just care about you. I don't want you to get hurt. When I see you with him only can think about is your safety and I don't want to have to worry about that!"
"Stiles, I understand that but you have to let me take care of myself sometimes. I've taken care of myself all these years and I can take care of myself now."
"I know." Stiles put his hand on his forehead and sighed. "Ryder, I think I'm in love with you."
