I was sitting in my hospital room reading when Isaac came in and told me to gather my stuff.
"Why?" I said with a sly smirk. Even though I knew the answer, I asked anyway.
"I, your awesome boyfriend, am getting you, my beautiful girlfriend, out of this hospital and taking you to a safe house, a.k.a Derek's loft." He walked over to my side and kissed me.
"You are pretty awesome." I said through the kiss. I picked up my bag that Stiles had brought over last night filled with things to keep me busy. "Should I get dressed?"
"No, you are still bedridden. We are allowed to move you over to Derek's place via influence from your lovely nurse Melissa McCall." Right as he finished his sentence, Mrs. McCall passed by the door, calling, "Thanks Isaac!"
"Anytime!" He replied, chuckling. He turned back to me, seeing my quizzical expression. "What?"
"Don't you think this is all a bit much? I told you! I feel fine!"
"No, it's not too much. I want to make sure you fully recover."
"Isaac! I'm fine!" I stood up but fell into Isaac arms, my head spinning. "Hmm, that didn't happen yesterday..."
"See, you're not fine. You are staying in bed for the next few days, okay?"
"Fine... You know, all this worrying on you is pretty hot." I smirked knowingly, and leaned up to him and placed my lips on his. At first he kissed back but then pulled away.
"Nope. Uh- uh." He shook his head at me.
"What?"
"I see what you are doing and it's not going to work."
"And what am I doing?" I turned my head slightly to the right.
"You are trying to be all sexy so I will cave and give you you're way, but it's not going to work."
I smiled cunningly and blushed. "You think I'm sexy?"
"Of course I do! You are the most-" He stopped abruptly. "See! There you go again! Come on. I'm getting you out of here before you try anything else."
My bag fell over onto the floor as I tried to get up. A few books and a certain photograph spilled out onto the floor. Isaac bent over and picked up the photo.
"What's this?" He asked, his eyebrows coming together.
"A picture of my family. Just after I was born but before the accident of course." I pulled my eyes away from the picture, my slight smile turning into a concerned frown, seeing Isaac's face. "What's wrong?"
"We have to get you to Derek's loft right now."
.................................................................
Isaac slid the door to Derek's loft open easily and I stumbled in after him. I crashed onto the couch from exhaustion. With my eyes closed, I barely registered the alpha coming down the stairs or the hushed voices in the corner. I opened my eyes for a split second and saw Isaac and Derek staring at me.
I felt myself fall into sleep but it seemed that not a second later, Isaac was shaking me awake.
"Ryder?" I sat up and met my eyes with Isaac's ice cold orbs. "Ryder, we need to talk to you."
I could see the worry and concern in Isaac's eyes. "Okay, what is it?"
"Well, your father..." When he didn't finish his sentence, I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Yeah..? What about him?"
"His last name isn't Livix."
"What do you mean, of course it is. Where do you think I got my last name?"
