Chapter 26: A choice

Everyone looked over at Azur as his so suddenly shattered into millions of pieces and disappeared forever. (Y/N) turned to look at Bill, Mabel, Stan and the rest of the retaliation as everyone gathered around her. (Y/N) stared at Bill as he stared back with a worried expression before he tried to cover it up with a chuckle. "Well...it looks like you kept you're end of the Deal, I suppose I should too." Bill said as he held out his hand to (Y/N) as she reached for his hand he pulled back as she fell slightly forward before catching herself and looking at Bill with an annoyed look. "Before we close this deal I want to offer another one." Bill said as he looked at (Y/N) with a serious expression and had Stans glaring eyes staring him down as well as Mabel saddened yet sweet eyes.

(Y/N) stared at Bill a moment with a serious look while she signaled him with the motion of her hand to continue his sentence. Bill took a deep breath before he grabbed (Y/N) hand and pulled her close to him as he opened his arm and embraced her in a strong passionate hug and tightened his grip on her and Buried his face in her neck as if he didn't want to let her go. (Y/N) looked around awkwardly as everyone stared with shocked faces. Bill gently brought his lips up to (Y/N)'s ear as he lightly rested his lips on her ear. "I'll leave gravity falls as it is if you let me keep you're partnership with me." Bill said as he slowly pulled away from (Y/N) and looked at her with a pleading face. (Y/N) gave him a sad questionable look, "Why does that matter to you? We agreed that-" (Y/N) said before she was cut off by Bill who put his finger over her lips and looked at her as he held her. "It's no concern of yours so don't question it but answer it." Bill said as he gave her a serious look. "I can't only because after this I'm not gonna be here anymore so-" (Y/N) said as she grabbed Bills face and kissed him as he stared at her in shock along with everyone else. (Y/N) released the kiss and let go of Bill as he let go of her and she walked away and toward Dippers body that laid there on the ground. Bill followed her as did Mabel, (Y/N) kneeled down to Dippers body and grabbed Bill by his collar as she pulled him down to her level as she whispered in his ear, "Take care of my family please and be nice to Dipper when he gets back, for me." (Y/N) said as she smiled and let go of Bill as she grabbed his hand and her other one placed itself on Dippers hole in his chest. Bill felt a sudden surge of power go through him as (Y/N)'s eyes closed and she begin to fall back as Bill jolted forward and caught her as she laid unconscious in his arms. Bills eyes widened realizing what (Y/N) had done, he had his powers back finally but (Y/N) used it for one last thing before giving it back, something she found out when she extracted the power from Midnight. She used it to put herself in the realm of the dead so she could go retrieve Dippers wondering soul but doing that would come at a price. "(Y/N)?...." Bill asked as his voice shook and he slowly held (Y/N) close to him as he buried his face in her unconscious neck. "(Y/N)....P-Please don't go. Don't do this! I can't loose you!! I LOVE YOU (Y/N) (M/N) PINES!!! Please don't leave us!!!" Bill said as tears escaped his eye and he buried his face in (Y/N) and rocked his body back and forth and he tightly held (Y/N)'s and began to cry.

Mabel slowly walked up to Bill as she kneeled next to him and gently put her hand on his shoulder. "Bill what's going on?" Mabel asked as Bill looked at her with a sorrowful look and tears in his eye. "She's not coming back shooting star. (Y/N) is....she's...." Bill didn't finish his sentence instead he looked back at (Y/N)'s unconscious face and gently brushed her hair out of her face as he continued to hug her and cry. "No. No. No. But cousin (Y/N) won she was ok a minute ago!" Mabel yelled at she began to cry, "(Y/N)!! (Y/N) wake up, wake up! Please! Wake up! Please!!! You can't go too!!! Please!!!! (Y/N) come back!!" Mabel cried as she shook (Y/N)'s body before she hugged it and cried. Stan went to Bill and Mabel and had the same moment they did before he started to cry as well.

Somewhere in a black endless abyss of darkness, (Y/N) opened her eyes and looked around the abyss before she began to walk forward into the endless darkness. "This should be where they go before crossing over." (Y/N) said as she kept walking and looking around. She almost gave up before she walked up to something that lit up the dark abyss, a small white orb. As soon as (Y/N) approached it she then became greeted by multiple orbs that engulfed the dark abyss with its lights. (Y/N) looked around in amazement before she caught sight of one that looked as though it's light was fading. On the glowing orb engraved in it was a faint Pine Tree as its light began to flicker. (Y/N) smiled as a tear escaped her eye. "There he is." (Y/N) said as she approached the faint Orb and gently grabbed it as she held it in the palm of her hands and stared at it before she brought it up to her lips and held it close to her chest as she smiled. "Dipper, It's you're cousin (Y/N)." She whispered to the orb as she held it closer to her. "You're too young to be here that's why I'm gonna send you back to you're sister...she needs you right now more than ever and I need you to be there for her as well." (Y/N) suddenly began to cry a little but she smiled as a tear fell on the orb that flickered. "You'll probably be upset with me and hold the feeling of guilt inside you're heart for awhile because of this but I'm letting you know now, I love you guys and you deserve every bit of you're life and must cherish every moment just like I did with the times I've spent with you, Mabel, Gruncle Stand and Ford and everyone else. Even though we didn't have a long time together I will always think and hold you guys in my heart. I won't be with you guys anymore but I'll always be in you're hearts. Just remember I made this decision to do this and switch places with you alright so don't you dare feel guilty or sad in the least bit alright!" (Y/N) said as she cried out and held the orb close to her face. She wiped her tears and gently kissed the orb. "Also try to get Along with Bill I honestly think he's warming up to you guys a little bit." (Y/N) said as she smiled and the orb relight with a light brighter than ever before. (Y/N) released the orb and it flew up high above before it faded and disappeared from the realm of nothingness. (Y/N) stared in the direction the orb had left in and she smiled as a tear escaped her eye. "Goodbye Everyone, I'm sorry I couldn't be around longer. But just remember I'll Always love you guys." (Y/N) paused before she chuckled a little. "I'm sure Bill will be fine he's not one to get sad over a simple human like me. At least I know I won't have to worry about him coping, he'll be fine." (Y/N) said as her body suddenly floated up and her chest began to glow. One last tear fell from her eyes as she smiled and closed her eyes accepting her fate. The light engulfed her entire body before it disappeared.

At that moment Dippers eyes opened as he jolted up quickly as he looked around before he looked at his now bloody orange shirt and vest, he felt his felt his chest up and felt no wound, no injury, but his normal chest. "I-I..I'm alive?..Wait...(Y/N)! Guys (Y/N) she-!" Dipper yelled as he scampered to Mabel and Bill and was cut off in Mid sentence as he was tackled by Mabel and Stan with hugs. Dipper smiled and embraced them in a hug as they cried in his arms. Dipper then caught sight of Bill who cried as he rocked with (Y/N)'s body in his arms and he hugged it tightly and buried his face in her cheek. Dipper had a saddened look over come his face as he made eye contact with Mabel who was crying as she sniffles. "She-" Dipper said before he was cut off by Stan. "Not coming back Dipper, she's gone. That's the price she paid to bring you here." Stan said as he began to cry more. "Dipper I-" Mabel said before Dipper pulled her into a hug and he began to cry as she did. "It was faint but I heard her voice and she wanted me to tell you guys that she loves us and to not feel sad." Dipper said as Stan and Mabel cried together while everyone hung their head in remorse. It indeed was a victory to be shared but how can you share a victory when you feel utter defeat inside.
