☆Donghyuk - Sparks☆

It was the beginning of a new semester which also means a new start of a busy school life, with lots of experiments and assignments for a typical science stream student.

A new semester, with new things to learn, new classmates to mix and mingle with and new teachers to get used to.

An assembly is a must for the start of a new semester, and after the assembly only will the students be informed as to which class they will go to.

Jaylee has made it to the first class, which she is very happy about it but at the same time, she feels kinda upset because her best friend has been arranged to the next class.

To her, the first class seemed unfamilliar. New faces everywhere and the only person she knew is Sammy.

And her attention went to one particular guy.

That guy, has a book in his hands almost all the time.

And girls are swarming around him everyday.

But Jaylee noticed one point.

He never paid much attention to the clinging girls, he would not ask them to leave him alone but he would do nothing but only smile at them.

The first lesson of the semester started off with Chemistry, in which Ms Chuan took over the class from Mr Johnson.

Unlike Mr Johnson, Ms Chuan is a serious teacher with no sense of humour at all. To her, everything must be effective and proficient.

"Well, I'm your new Chemistry teacher for this semester. I don't think I needed to introduce myself is it? First, I would like to straight away pair you all up as lab partners for the coming experiments."

"So fast?"

"The lesson's haven't been started yet! And we've just entered this class!"

"We don't even know all our classmates here!"

Whispers and discussions were exchanged between the students as Ms Chuan announced the pair up.

"I believe you students have lots to say about this but that's it. I don't want any dilly-dally." Ignoring the students' comments, Ms Chuan took out the name list of the class and studied it.

"And I believe if I were to let you choose your own partners, it would be so much of a trouble. So, I'll be arranging you according to the namelist, with number 1 pairing up with number 2 and so on."

The class died down as the students were quite dissatisfied as to not even have the chance to pick their own lab partner but can do nothing about it.

The teacher read out the names who will be pairing up as lab partners.

"....Jaylee with Kim Donghyuk, Kim Hanbin with Lawrence....."

As the namelist follows alphabetical order, coincidentally Jaylee has been paired up with the guy that she has been paying attention to.

The first experiment started off with a simple acid-base titration.

Donghyuk went over to take the retort stand, pipette, filter funnel and conical flask whereas Jaylee moved over to take the chemicals.

Ms Chuan has reminded the students to be careful in handling the apparatus and to take safety precautions.

Jaylee took the pipette and placed a filter funnel at the top of the pipette and began to pour down the acid labelled KA1 but alas, she forgot to turn off the mouth of the pipette, resulting in the chemical running straight down to the floor.
