Vinz sent in her resignation no later than half year she had started working.
Yes, it was indeed a high-paying job at a 5 star hotel but what is the use if she is not given the opportunity to put her skills into good use?
Vinz had completed her culinary lessons at a famous cooking school and yes, of course the certificate of graduation she received is recognised all around the world.
She was lucky to get acceptance into the StreetBar Hotel which is just located not far from where she lives so she was eager to start the job quickly.
Little did she expect that things weren't as good as she had thought.
By rights, she should be spending time in the kitchen, learning from the other chefs as an apprentice since she had no experience yet.
However, all she ever did was clearing up the mess the chefs did after cooking, preparing ingredients for them and other unnecessary chores.
She do understand that one may need to learn from scratch, doing everything before he or she can manage the whole big thing.
But it had been freaking 6 months and yet she's still doing these chores!
The chefs belittled her, and none seemed to want to take her as a apprentice.
That was why Vinz was determined to say 'good bye and good riddance' to that job, and to get herself another one.
Vinz was going through the newspaper to look for any vacancies that is related to the qualifications she had before her handphone suddenly rang.
She looked at it and was surprised to see the caller ID: 'Aunt'.
Why would she call me suddenly? Vinz thought to herself.
"Yes, aunt? Vinz here." She answered the call anyway.
"Hey Vinz. How are ya doing now? You have already graduated from your cooking school, if I'm not mistaken?"
Vinz creased her eyebrow slightly. Why would she bring up this topic all of a sudden?
"Yeah. I have."
"And I'm currently looking for a job."
Vinz added. Well, there's no harm in telling her that as well."Oh perfect! Errrr...I mean, I have a job here. I wonder if you'll be interested?" Her aunt sounded too delighted but she quickly changed her way of speaking so as not to let Vinz felt uncomfortable with her tone over the matter that she haven't found a job yet.
"Oh you have? What is the job about?" Her eyes brightened up as she inquired more.
After listening to her aunt about the details of the job -- what type of job, the place, the location etc, Vinz's lips curved into a smile.
This may be the dream job for her.

"You see, the manager was quite worried when one of the cooks decided to quit all of a sudden. We've already faced the problem of worker shortage and yet this is happening again. It is very disastrous for a big company like this." Her aunt appeared relieved when she saw Vinz reporting to work the immediate next day.
"Are you exaggerating, aunt? How would it be disastrous, at most they can just earn less." Vinz laughed.
"You're absolutely wrong, honey. It's not about the money. In fact, everything served here is free. Almost every employee in this company have their meals here, except for their breakfast of course as they always arrive in the afternoon and work late. You see, if they are not having activities outside or anything, they spend most of their time practising or doing other work here. They are normally so busy that they didn't have time to eat outside so this cafeteria serves a very important role."
