Chapter 15

I curled into a ball; I have been lying in bed for the past 2 days straight. Mom and Nik think I have a cold; it's been working because I have been crying a lot and my nose has been running. Dylan will curl up with me at night, but I forced him to get up and go to school yesterday morning. I am literally terrified to go to school; I don't want to run into Aidan by any chances. Bri told me that Aidan is the main topic floating around the school. I haven't even gone to dance this week; I told Charlie to tell my teachers that I have the flu. Now you may think I am over exaggerating about Aidan, but you would do the same thing if you are kind of the reason he got put in jail. As of right now, he has every motive in the world to hurt me. Dylan told me he would have to kill him before Aidan gets to me, but you know in every movie; someone gets hurt. No I have not told Nik and mom about this; Nik would literally kill Aidan. I wanted to get a restraining order, but Dylan says a little paper won't do anything. I roll over looking at the time, 4:15. I get up lazily walking to the kitchen; I scan the fridge spotting grapes. I grab the grapes and walk back towards the stairs, the doorbell rings. I hesitate and walk towards the door; ugh can Dylan ever remember his house key? I peek through the hole and see Dylan; no I'm not one of those people who just open the door and invite the murderer in for a sandwich. I let him in behind him was Charlie with a bag. He instantly hugged me; I hugged him back burying my face in his chest.

"Baby girl I am so sorry" He mutters rocking us back and forth

"Charlie you have class what are you doing here?" I ask inhaling his scent

"I know, but I had to make sure you were okay. I bought you a few things" He says pulling away from me handing me a bag. "It's your favorite candy, a star Wars shirt, and a few other things from Hot Topic." He runs his fingers through his jet black hair.

"Charlie, you are the best" I hug him again

"I stopped by to check on you again, but if you need anything don't hesitate to call me" He opened the door and I followed him out

"Thank you for checking up on me. I'm just like seriously paranoid to the fact that I have to sleep with Dylan in order to sleep." I look at him and he frowns

"Danielle, Aidan is going to have to get through a boat load of people before he gets his hands on you" He grabs my hand "I won't let anything happen to you, do you understand me Dani?" He asks sternly

"Yea" I muttered crossing my arms across my chest

"I have to go to the lady who shits fire" He groans opening up his car door making me laugh, an actual laugh

"Behave Mr. Reed" I walk back inside going upstairs to Dylan's room; he was sprawled out on his bed. I plopped down beside him laying my head on his shoulder.

"How do I do this Dylan?" I ask feeling my eyes burn

"You have me to lead you every step of the way, he isn't going to ruin you Danielle. I won't let that happen. You are a smart, beautiful, talented, and funny girl; he isn't going to take any of those qualities away from you! I am going to tell you this now, you can't stay locked in the house all day anymore. Mom and Dad are starting to get suspicious, you aren't acting sick, and you are giving off the vibe that something is really wrong with you. Here" He hands me a green box

"Pepper spray?" I asked shifting a little

"It will have to do until my next order comes in" He says sighing

"Dylan please tell me you didn't buy a gun" I groan
