iii// Lydia's pov

"Leave him alone." I say strictly.

Garret looks at him and then begins to walk away full of anger.  I follow him and then I look back at Stiles.

"You should be thankful..." I mumble to myself and I walk back to the bleachers to continue watching Garret's Lacrosse practice.

§

It's the next day and I get ready to go to school. I curl my strawberry blonde hair and put in some lipgloss.

Change clothes, eat breakfast, and I'm ready to go to school.

I wait outside for Garret to pick me up as I look at my watch and wait impatiently.

Finally, I see Garret's car park in my drive way and I run towards him.

"Your late!" I say angrily as I open the car door.

"I was busy ok?!" I just ignore him and slam the car door shut and I put on my seat belt.

"Drive." I mumble and Garret looks at me with his hands on the steering wheel.

He nods and starts the engine.

We stay silent the whole time until we get to school. I get off the car and I walk inside the school. I jog towards the girls room and I fix my hair and lipgloss while looking at the mirror.

The door swings open and I see the new girl Allison walk in and she gave me a smile.

"Hi, Lydia, right?" She asks and I nod as I look back at the mirror and fix my lipgloss.

I finish and I grab my purse from the counter top.

"Bye Allison" and I walk out.

I walk back outside towards the Lacrosse field to watch the team practice again.

I watch Garret tackle some players and shove some kids. As he pushes Scott to get through, Scott runs after him to get the ball.

"What is he doing?" I mumble to myself and then I see Allison sit next to me.

"Watching them practice huh?" I ask and she nods.

I follow her gaze as se lays her eyes on Scott McCall.

"You like him?" I say as I elbow her on the side of her arm and she chuckles softly.

"Maybe.." And then I give her a smile.

"You know that he's single? Maybe you could ask him out" she looks at home and then back at me.

"You think?" And I nod.

We look at the field and watch the boys play for hours.

When they finally finish, I get off the bleachers and run towards Garret.  I brush some dirt of his shoulder carefully and then I look at him.

"Good practice..." He smiles at me.

"But not great..." And then he looks at me confused.

"But-"

"But nothing, I'm Lydia Martin, Garret.  I date the captain of the winning Lacrosse team, not the losing Lacrosse team..." He looks away in disbelief and shakes his head as he sighs.

"I don't date losers, and it better stay like that..." I turn and walk away from him.
