Imagine #16 Damon

He has to pick between you and Andie.

"You have to pick", Stefan said to Damon in a bored tone of voice. Damon rolled his eyes in annoyance.

" Firstly Stefan, I don't have to do anything. Secondly, I'm dating andie out of boredom, and I'm not dating Y/N at all", he said.

"Y/N hates Andie. Hates the way you're using her. She's your best friend, and you're going to lose her if you don't pick", Stefan shrugged, walking out and leaving Damon in a trail of thought.

To be fair, you didn't hate Andie. She was great. Talented, beautiful, kind. But she was also being compelled by your jackass of a best friend, therefore she had no idea what she was really doing and therefore you hated Damon and Andie's relationship.

" I picked ", Damon said, walking into your living room without even knocking.

" You picked what? ", you asked obliviously.

" I picked between you and Andie". You scoffed, giving him an unimpressed look.

"I didn't ask you to pick me. You don't get to pick me. I'm your best friend, we're practically glued to each other. It's part of the deal", you informed him, standing up and looking at him. He paused, and then groaned, glaring at you.

" I dumped Andie for nothing. Why the hell did I do that?", he said angrily. Your own nose scrunched in indignation.

"Don't even think about getting mad at me! You dumped her out of your own free will. And certainly not hers, since you stole that from her from day one!", you said angrily, hitting his shoulder halfheartedly.

" Hey, don't play all noble with me Y/N! I still shouldn't have dumped her. She was hot, and smart an-"

"Then why the hell did you pick me in the first place Damon?!", you exclaimed.

" Because I love you Y/N!", he spat out, before even thinking about it. The air got heavy with silence as you looked at him with wide eyes.

"What?", you said quietly.

" I love you. Okay? I love your beauty, and your brains. I even love your flaws! Your stupid constant nagging and complaining, and the way your nose scrunches when your angry, which is basically all the time. I wish I didn't okay? I told myself I wouldn't love again, but I do", he said, his eyes piercing yours.

"That's... Super cheesy", you teased, smiling softly.

" I know. I was cringing as I said it", he said, rolling his eyes at himself. You walked towards him, put his hands on his neck and tiptoed up to kiss him. He froze, before grabbing your waist securely with his hands and leaning into the kiss. He hitched your legs around his waist and pushed you against the wall. He pulled your hoodie off with fumbling hands and you pulled away breathlessly to help him.

"Is Damon Salvatore nervous?", you asked, feigning shock.

" Maybe", he said, his forehead on yours. You grinned.

"For the record, I love you too", you said, before pulling his lips back to yours.
