Zach woke up late the next morning, a warm feeling encasing the left side of his body, he looked down to a sleeping Allie, her messy morning hair falling over her face as she rested lightly on his chest. Zach didn’t want to wake her, but he desperately needed to stretch, his whole body was about to cramp up. Zach tried to move Allie off himself and on to the pillows beside them, but she squirmed and held onto him tighter; shaking her head.

“You’re awake?” Zach whispered.

“Mmmmmm,” Allie nodded.

“Allie, my side’s cramping up,” he told her, softly trying to push her away again.

“Fine,” she mumbled before flipping over and turning her back to him.

Zach chuckled lightly, stretching out his legs and arms, twisting his ankles and wrists. After a minute his joints loosened up and his muscles were relaxed, so he turned to face Allie’s back. Reaching out, Zach pulled Allie closer to him, cupping her body with his. She twisted slightly to make herself more comfortable in my arms before letting out a content sigh. The moment was perfect, it truly was. Zach was beyond happy, lying there with her, wrapped around her; Zach felt like he could protect her from anything, He could be the hero she needed. He wanted to be the person to fight away her fears, show her that everything would get better, that she could be happy and not feel guilty about it.

“I’m glad you’re back,” she said softly, pressing back into him.

Zach couldn’t hide his smile, or stop his heart from leaping when she spoke. She made him feel like such a girl, but he couldn’t help it.

“Miss me?” He asked cheekily.

“Lil’ bit...” Allie turned around to face him.

Her brown eyes were sparking, and Zach just stared into them, she was beautiful. He wondered if she could see it.

“Oh, just a little?” He pouted and pretended to be hurt.

Allie’s eyes jumped over every feature of Zach’s face as she studied him silently. Zach couldn’t pretend that he didn’t notice where they landed last. As her eyes skimmed his lips, she bit her own. Allie wriggled closer to Zach, her eyes flicking between his eyes and his lips.

“A little more than a little...” she said softly.

An electric shock went through Zach body as she pressed up against him, her hands resting on his chest. His heart beat sped up as she inched her face closer to his. Zach was silently begging her not to stop closing the distance; he tried to encourage her with his eyes. He had wanted to kiss her every moment since the one he first saw her, he was dying for this. He couldn’t take it, the way she was looking at him, she was so close, if she didn’t kiss him then, and Zach would kiss her.

Allie interrupted his thoughts, suddenly closing the gap between them. Heat rushed thought Zach and his heart as good as stopped. He couldn’t explain it. His hand went around her waist as she moved her soft lips on Zach’s, he pulled her closer.

Zach’s free hand went into her hair; tangling in the soft brown waves. Allie’s hands slid up from his chest and her arms linked around his neck as he twisted them around so he was hovering over her. She kissed Zach desperately; it was full of want, need. It was perfect.

Allie struggled a little to wrap her head around what was happening, but she knew she wanted it, that it felt right. Her heart was racing and she was tingling all over. Zach’s tongue flicked across her bottom lip, sending a shock through her being, but she parted her lips and let him have entrance just the same. Zach began to explore her mouth, twisting their tongues together.
