It was Saturday and Adeline didn't get that much of sleep to call it a beauty sleep and here she was dozing knowing she has to rest for her son's party later that evening. About the party every rich or well known business man was invited and it was the talk of the day. Nobody expected that the well known Alexander Gale had a son of four years. Every magazine was colored with the surprising party news.
Few minutes Adeline was disturbed from her dozing by Helen "you have no idea who came and she wants to see you, surprisingly" Helen said quite surprised herself "a she?" Adeline asked. "Go see for yourself she begged me to let you see her" Helen said. "I'll go but after this I am going home I can't take it anymore I need my bed" Adeline said and Helen agreed.
Adeline went out looking for the she who wanted to see her and spotted someone she knew from the further corner table from where she was standing, shock filled her head. She did not know what to feel exactly, the woman she was seeing was far from what she used to see everyday all the bratness went away from her, and she seemed lonely and thinner than she was.
Diana turned her head to see Adeline walking towards her. Adeline reached the table and made herself seat opposite to Diana "long times no see, Diana" Adeline started to remove the first word awkwardness. "Hi Adeline" Diana replied agreeing that they have not seen each other for four years and their last eye contact was not in good terms "I was searching for you, just to say sorry for what I did. Among all the people I think I should be the one to regret what I did" Diana said tears starting make their way down to the cheeks. "What are you talking about?" Adeline asked. "I ran away from my husband Adeline, I am infertile I can't conceive. I ran away I didn't want them to do what I did to you, since then I started searching for you. I am sorry Adeline; I should not have treated you like that" Diana explained it all leaving Adeline's mouth wide open, to the fact that Diana was married then she can't conceive then she ran away from her husband.
"Not all people are the same Diana, everyone is a special case at least you informed me that right now" Adeline finally said after catching up with what she just heard. Diana's world was too lonely with no one to smile with and no one to comfort, Adeline felt sorry for her. At least she had Helen and Mart to support her when she was having hard times but Diana looked like she had none. "I believe that everyone is not the same but I believe in Karma too. I just want you to forgive me" Diana begged for forgiveness. "Does Alex know about this?" Adeline asked. While Diana continued sobbing. "No, he doesn't know where I am they are all searching for me, I don't want them to find me, I am too ashamed of myself, please don't mention me to him" Diana said. "I forgive you, Diana. But don't keep yourself packed up with problems all alone, I am sure your husband still loves you, I am sure his days and nights aren't that good and so is your brother and mother" Adeline tried to convince her to go back but she knew Diana needed some time. "My mother only cares about fortune or wealth" Diana corrected her. "You can use me as a sister some time and you have a nephew now, his name is Nathan, four years old" Adeline said trying to make Diana smile. "I heard, and I am so proud of you, Thank you Adeline and I'll take your offer sister"
Adeline was home now not believing what happened but in some she felt relieved knowing that she forgave Diana. She slept for three hours only to wake up because of the doorbell. She went to answer the door only to find a delivery guy waiting for the door to open. "Miss Adeline" Adeline nodded "sign here" she took the pen and signed then took the two boxes from the guy. She opened them, finding out one had full suit the right size for Nathan and the other was a wine red dress with silver decorations. "You did well, you knew I didn't have anything to wear" she whispered to herself.

The time came and Alex was busy welcoming the guests with the help of his secretary, Sara who was well proper dressed in purple and silver which made her look sexy enough but Alex couldn't wait for Adeline and his son to arrive. One of the bodyguards came in to tell him that they've arrived as he whispered to let them in.
The wide wooden doors were opened wide to reveal the running Nathan towards his father and Adeline who was taking her time to walk on the black heels she wore. All the men's eyes looked at her direction including Alex whose eyes were daydreaming on her. The dress did her right since the curves were visible and the colour was just the right fit for her skin tone. Alex went to her as fast as he could only to silently inform people that Adeline was taken.
Nathan played with his friends from school and Sara trying hard to keep Nathan presentable at least until the introduction was done. Helen and Adeline introduced themselves to several people finding Helen the funniest in jokes while keeping them entertained.
The time came and Alex went to the stage taking the mike starting the introduction "Ladies and gentlemen, I seek for your attention." Alex started and all the heads went to his direction. "Thank you ... Now I would like to do the main purpose of this gathering. Which is to make everyone know about the important people in my life which people did not know about and they are none other than my son, who is four to five years old Nathan Gale" people clapped while Nathan was directed to the stage and hugged his father with a smile. Alex took him in his arms and the other hand taking the mike again. "And one more who is the mother of my son, Adeline" after that Adeline directed herself towards the stage and took the mike. "Ladies don't be shocked and don't hate me, I just share a son with this bachelor he is single and available" Alex was not pleased with these words he took the mike away from Adeline's hands kept Nathan down and kissed Adeline in front of everyone which was at first a forced kiss but Adeline was melting in it, people were whispering gossips, pictures were taken by the paparazzi, Sara fast went and took Nathan away from the crowds eyes while they were totally lost in their world.
