Alex kept remembering his past, some of it made him regret and some made him happy. He knew now that Nathan was his pure blood and that taught him never to loose hope or give up too soon. Because giving up made him divorce the one love of his life and now he keeps regretting everyday he sees her.

He returned to his office now and it was celebrated few months ago. He was the CEO of his company again and partners with her sister Diana and Sara was his secretary.

"Hey Logan, how happy to see you" Alex said seeing Logan open the door.
"Man! You look good on that chair now" Logan said.

"How is my sister and my niece,  are you treating them well?" Alex asked.

"Your sister is good but Emily is crying everyday she wants to see Nathan.  Your son has corrupted her" Logan said being a protective dad he is.

"Don't get jealous of my son. Tell her, uncle Alex will come to take her to Nathan tomorrow. " Alex said.

"When are you proposing to Adeline?" Logan asked.

"I don't know but I want to." Alex answered. 

"You say that till she finds another man to sweep her away. She came there till your recovery you know. She tells you she is there for you and Nathan. Now you've recovered bro claim her or you will regret even more" Logan advised.

"That will never happen, I will look into that" Alex said taking a deep breath.

"You have to. Well I'm going now I was just curious to how you look on that chair"

It was always a busy day for both Adeline and Helen, now that Sara has fully returned to work and they we're opening a new branch few months later.

"I think it's time for you to come back and live with us" Helen suggested.

"Why are you saying that right now. I thought you agreed me living there" Adeline talked back.

"Yes I agreed but only when he was sick and I thought he needed you and Nathan there. But now I don't know about Nathan it's your responsibility but you,  I think your work is done" Helen explained herself.

"But I'm happy with them I love him." Adeline said.

"Yes, I know that but, darling if you make yourself so easy like that you gonna end just like you were before I don't want to see you like that." Helen said.

"I think that will never happen" Adeline defended.

"I think among the many roads he sees he might also pick the narrow one.  Possibilities are he might have a mistress or choose a proper lady and you will become just Nathan's mommy and an ex-wife. You must trigger him and know if he really want you in his life.  Only then I can agree you living with him" Helen made her understand that she only wants good for her sister who is blindly in love.

"OK I will move in maybe tomorrow then" Adeline said with a sad face and a sigh.

"I don't want maybe you have to move in tomorrow.  You find out a way to tell my good nephew and your lover today , tomorrow I'm taking you to my home little sister." Helen insisted.

"As you say so." Adeline said continuing to do what she does best.

"Ah! I was curious about this. Do you people sleep together or..." Helen asked with a wired stupid grin on her face.

"Oh my God Helen what are you asking!" Adeline was blushing in shock of the question her sister asked.

"Just answer already. I'm just curious okay" Helen shamelessly admitted.

"Some days we do, but....." Adeline was stopped.

"Okay,  don't anymore. Not curious" Helen said not liking the start of the answer.

After a busy day Adeline was quite thinking of a way to tell Alex and Nathan about her what sister and her talked about. She was sure they are all going to be against it and Alex and Helen won't be on right foot after that.

An awkward silence surrounded them as they were driving home. Nathan was too exhausted. Alex was trying to figure out Adeline's mood.

"What is wrong, darling?" Alex asked.
"Nothing, just wondering" Adeline answered.
With that Alex continued driving.

They reached what they called home. Alex tucked his son in bed kissed his temple and smiled. 

"Are you really going to tell me what you are wondering about now Adeline." Alex said after standing beside a wall observing the lost Adeline.

"Uhm! Tomorrow I'm moving back with Helen." She said as fast as she could spit it out of her lips.

"What. No you can't do that. What about Nathan" Alex said annoyed by the statement.

"He will choose where he wants to be" Adeline suggested.

"You said you'll stay by my side" Alex didn't want to let her go.

"I'm still there if you need me. We have to move on it's not like we are related anymore. I'm just your son's mother and your ex wife. I took care of you, I didn't want my son to be an orphan" Adeline said holding her tears.

"Did Helen tell you to do this, did she even find you blind dates. Adeline do you really want to move on and leave us like this. I'm not going to allow this." Alex said, as he reached for Adeline's hand only for his hands to be rejected by her.

"I will not allow this. Tell your sister to remember that Adeline you are mine from the start" Alex said with anger as Adeline closed the bedroom door.

Alex's day was finished by him getting drunk and sleeping on the sofa as Adeline opened the door only to find him there.

Adeline tried to wake him up and help him to his bed only to get stuck with him there. "Alex get your hands off of me. You can't do this. I need to go to sleep"

"Sleep with me only for today. I need you,  I love you" Alex said the only words Adeline wanted to hear.

The only words she hoped to hear everyday but her sister was right too. She has to find her way.
