We are heading to the end.
Few more steps and we'll get there.
Okay
Enjoy.
...............................

Adeline was now back living with her sister Helen. She made herself busy and tired everyday so that she doesn't get time to think about Alex.

Nathan didn't like the news but the decision was made and he chose to go back to his aunts house. For him playing with Emily was enough not to become depressed and disappointed.
Sometimes he felt like he was unwanted by his parent but he knew they couldn't live without him. He is  such an understanding boy.

Alex was haunted by his own house, he was used to the scattered toys and drawings his son made,  he was used to the food Adeline cooked, he was used to pillow fights they had almost every morning. And now he has to return to the neat, spotless, lonely home. Where he has to sigh after every five minutes, get drunk and sleep.

He sat on his sofa taking the first bottle of the day wondering where exactly did he go wrong with Adeline, or what exactly does he have to do to return her back to him.

He more than anyone knew the answer to that but he was clueless on how to start on it again. He had to make it special more than the first time but how was that special supposed to be?

If it was any lady liking attention and fancy things, he knew how to handle, but Adeline wasn't any lady for him. She was the most special from the  beginning.
.............................................

"Did Alex call?" Helen asked looking at the internally lost Adeline.

"No. Its not like he has to." Adeline said getting confused  and frustrated.

"It shows. Lets get out of here then. I think we are done for today." Helen said closing the book of sells.

"I think it's early." Adeline was surprised looking at the time.

"Nathan, said he forgot one of his important book he wants you to bring it to him." Helen said.

"He could've just called his father to do it" Adeline stated the easy way.

"Oh so you don't even want to see your son then. Okay I'll go fetch it for him on your behalf." Helen said annoyed of the attitude Adeline had.

Adeline was confused to what she'd do if she met him. "I'll do it myself" she said mastering her confidence.
.............................

They drove to Alex's place just to take what Nathan forgot as Helen waited in the car.
It was dark even the lights were off so she assumed he wasn't there as she sighed  with relief.

Just as she opened the door she found everything so different from how she left them. The house was surrounded with screens and the remote was kept at the door step that she kicked it and now was struggling to find it.
She picked it up and pressed the red button where every screen lit up.

As she watched and got lost in them not realizing the tears in her eyes.
They were picture of the good times she had with Alex from the beginning of their  times. She was crying because she never thought in her life that she would see them again.
There was one where she was a poor girl who didn't care about anything living in an orphanage center with her sister. She was seventeen by then though her sister struggled for dear life, but she was still kept there.

One which they we're graduating high school. Another it was her sister's wedding showing her catching the bouquet.
Another it was her and the late Mr. Nathaniel which loved her so much that he didn't resist when Alex announced that she was his girlfriend though she was a mere part time servant in their household.

Another it was their wedding picture and there rings. And the vows they kept for one another.

So many pictures came after one another that she froze valuing each one of them and she realized her life was precious even when they were having a hard time.

She was still looking at the screen, she didn't realise all the lights were on.
The last picture was of Adeline, Nathan and Alex on a  wheelchair.

She looked around then looking down she saw the most unbelievable scene.

Alex on his knees with a ring on his right hand. "I know I'm the reason to most of the tears you shed and it really hurts that I couldn't keep what I sincerely vowed at first, those promises I once said, I couldn't fulfill, I'm sorry. But I am begging for another life with you, for another chance to keep promises with you and I swear to God this time I will take them to my grave if I just get that chance, I will cherish you with everything you deserve because I love you, my family and my selfish me. Will you please give me another chance to marry you." Alex hopefully waited for the response.

Adeline couldn't find the right words to the speech she just heard. Her lips had many words that it was hard to choose instead she just nodded a yes with tears of happiness dropping out from her eyes.

Alex stood up letting the ring slid on her finger and rubbing the tears on her face. "I love you, Adeline. For me I think I can't see anyone else. Thank you"

"Why did you all trick me like this, I couldn't even wear something nice. Look at you looking all nice" Adeline complained braking the hug rubbing her tears off.

"Guess what. I don't care about your clothes. I just care about you." Alex said laughing at her expression.

"One more surprise. Follow me" Alex instructed.

"What surprise. I think I'm going to faint by all this." Adeline said as she followed Alex.

Alex opened the door Adeline entered seeing his son already asleep with Emily as they were surrounded with toys everywhere.
"Maybe it's too late. I'll take them to bed"

"No. We will take them" Adeline said taking Emilia as Alex took Nathan who was peacefully sleeping from tiring himself.
