A week later...
Dove's POV
I don't really know for sure what's going on. My head hurts and I feel really sick. I'm so stressed out. Blake is somewhere. Heather is back at school. Ryan hasn't been talking to me. "Chloe I need to talk to you." Mom says sitting beside me on my bed. "Yes?" I ask. "There's no easy way to say this but Imgoingtobegonefortwoweeksbecauseofmyjob" "What?" I ask. "I'm going to be gone for two weeks." She says. I just nod. "I leave tomorrow. It's just two weeks. You can stay with Veronica or" She says. I just nod. Add it to the list: Mom is gone.
A day later...
She left I'm alone. This is not good. Everything bad happens when I'm alone. I call Ryan.
"I need you." I say
"I'll be over in five." He says and we hang up. Small talk, but whatever works. Ryan comes in and I run to him. "MymomisgoneimaloneineedhelpRyanpleaseI...I." I start having a panic attack. "Chloe. Chloe. Hey. Hey." He says and picks me up. I wrap my legs around his waist and hug him. "Shh. Calm down." He says sitting down and putting me in his lap. "Do you want to come stay at my house?" He asks. "Yes." I say. He smiles. "Alright pack your things." He says and we go into my room. He helps me pack my clothes and we put them in his car. "Hey mom. Dove is staying the night. Her mom left." Ryan says. "Um. Ok." His mom says. I fall onto Ryan's bed. I'm so tired. "You want to sleep with me right?" He asks. I nod and he smiles. "Come on. Let's eat dinner. Then we'll go to sleep." He says. I nod and we go out of his room and eat dinner with his parents. "Do you guys want to watch a movie?" Mr. McCartan asks. "Sure." I say. "Yes." Ryan says. After we eat Ryan and I sit on one couch and his parents on the other. I cuddle up agains Ryan and he wraps his arm around me pulling me closer. I put my legs on his lap and my head on his shoulder. I don't even remember what movie we're watching. I fall asleep.
Ryan's POV
I look down and Dove is asleep. I smile and kiss her forehead. When the movie ends I pick her up bridal style and carry her to my room. I lay her down in my bed and take off her shoes. I cover her up and take a shower. After my shower I cuddle up next to Chloe and fall asleep.
