I let go of Luke, but he held on to me tighter. I wriggled free from his grasp and stared down at him. My mouth hung open as I tried to process what he had just said.

Kenneth was right, he was only wasting the 2 years we had been together.

"Aria, I don't want to lose you in my life. I need my best friend." Luke was close to tears. I could hear it in his voice.

Slowly, I lowered myself into a chair and tried to speak.

"I-I'm sorry. Thanks for being honest. I just needed to know." I said shakily.

"Aria." Luke began

I took all the strength I had left in me to plaster the warmest smile on my face.

"I understand. You love Kathy, and she loves you. That's all that matters. I'm truly happy for you guys. I'll support you both all the way."

At this point, I truly didn't care. It's as if my heart had just turned to stone.

Luke stared at me, trying to decide whether or not I was telling the truth.

"Come here." Luke patted the seat next to him. I hesitantly walked over, and he put his arms around me like he used to.

He slowly started humming the song "Check Yes Juliet"

No matter how hard my heart wanted to pour out to him, I stopped myself. I wasn't going to let these walls down.

Quickly I got up and wiped the remaining tears off of my cheeks.

"Uh. I'm going to check on Cal." I said and walked in without getting a response.

Luke walked in behind me as I made my way to the living room.

"How'd it go?" Calum asked us. I glanced over at a semi happy Luke.

"Luke and I are friends." I smiled, knowing that's as far as it would go.

Calum had a look of disbelief on his face but it immediately went away. "We need to go. We're going to practice for the concert tonight. We'll see you tonight right?" Calum asked as we started for the door.

"Yeah I'll be there." I gave them a reassuring smile. Calum hugged me tight and told me to text him, Luke gave me an awkward hug.

I waved bye to them as they climbed into the tour bus they decided to drive instead of an actual car.

A little later, everyone came home and we went out for lunch. I kept quiet about Calum and Luke's surprise visit. They didn't need to know.

~

Luke's POV:

"Luke! What's up? You're messing up a lot." Michael exclaimed. I shook my head. "Sorry, just thinking."

"About what?" Ashton asked. "Life." I shrugged as if it wasn't much of a big deal.

Kathy and the girls walked in with our lunch. Some part of me wished Aria was there. She's always my supporter.

"Hey!" Kathy said then pecked me on the lips. I naturally slid my arms around her waist and pulled her closer. "How was your day?" She asked sweetly. "Been good." I lied. "Yours?"

"Great! Kiyah, Natalie, Renna, and I went shopping. It took a bit of convincing to get them to come along with me since they were looking for Aria, but they came." Kathy said.

I nodded my head.

"So do you know where Aria is?" Kathy asked in concern. "She's spending time with her family here." I responded. Kathy said nothing more about the topic.

Lately, shows have been great, but not any fun like before. Or well, when Aria was around.

Luke what are you thinking. You've moved on and so has Aria. You're getting married soon! Aria's a thing of the past. I thought to myself.

~

We were getting ready for the show, I was wearing my smiley face shirt and black jeans with my black shoes. The dog tag necklace with my name engraved on it was hung around my neck.

Kathy stood next to me on her phone as I looked around.

Where the hell is Aria? Wait why are you thinking about Aria? Damn you Luke. I scolded myself.

"5SOS IS ON IN TWO MINUTES!" The stage manager shouted.

I grabbed my guitar and slipped it around me. Calum got his bass and Michael got his guitar too. Ashton got his drumsticks, and we stood around waiting.

"Aww Lukey. You and your guitar." Kathy giggled. She knew how much I loved this guitar. I planted my lips on to hers.

"Sorry I'm late." I heard Aria's voice and pulled slowly away from Kathy, to see her being hugged by our friends.

"Don't you dare leave like that again!" Kiyah scolded. Aria just laughed it off. I could see Aria sneaking glances at me and Kathy. I knew she saw us kiss but she didn't even seem heartbroken like before.

"5SOS TO THE STAGE!" The stage manager shouted.

"Good Luck!" Kathy kissed me one last time before letting me go.

The boys and I walked on to stage. Here we go.

~

Aria's POV:

The boys did amazing as usual. Luke was glancing at me but I just smiled at him, not falling for his eyes or the way he played the guitar and sang. I wasn't drawn to him anymore.

When the concert was finished and after about an hour of talking in the dressing room, I slipped away again, unnoticed. I walked out the exit and started to walk home.

"Aria!" Someone called after me. It was Calum.

"Why do you keep running away?" Calum asked. I shrugged.

"Aren't you over Luke?" He asked now. "Yeah." I replied. "So why leave?" Calum was always the curious one.

"Why should I stay? Everyone is doing their own thing as a couple, and I'm alone here, single. If I come along, I'll just be in the way if you guys ever want to go out. The third wheel you know." I pointed out.

Calum chuckled, "You're funny thinking you're getting in the way. Don't just abandon us here. Tour is boring without my partner in crime."

I playfully rolled my eyes. "Relax I'll meet you guys back in Australia in a week. Tour is almost over. You'll survive." I laughed.

"So you're going back to Australia?" He asked.

"Yeah. I just need to think. Should I stay or come back to America. I mean here in America, I have so many great and big opportunities here. I only stay in Australia because of you guys." I admitted.

"You mean to tell me, that you might move here?" Calum asked, I could hear the panic in his voice.

I shrugged, "I have to think about it."

"Just stay with us in Australia. It's the better life." Calum said. I smiled at him, he knew how to make me happy. "Thanks Cal." I hugged him. "No problem." He said.

We both parted our ways. I called Kenneth to pick me up, and he was there in a few minutes.

When we got home, I packed my things.

I said my goodbyes to my family and they drove me to the hotel.

I crashed on to my bed the minute I walked into the room. This night was something, I thought.

Eh boring. I'm sorry.
