"One, two, three."

Water emits from my mouth and I take a huge gulp of air. I cough and begin breathing hoarsely. I slowly open my eyes.

"Allison," I croak out.

She puts a hand on my cheek. I see the tears running down her own face. I shiver. I can feel the the hospital gown sticking to my skin like a suction cup. I am drenched in water. She is drenched in water.

"What happened?"

"You've been missing for a couple of days. Longer than Lydia. I found you in the creek and you were floating in the water. What were you doing?"

I squint my eyes as I stare up to the sky. I'm trying to remember. "I-I don't know. I don't remember. I... Don't know."

I hear footsteps, like someone running and somebody lifts me off the ground. I grit my teeth to hide my scream as a throbbing pain goes through my shoulders.

"Oh, God. Scott, she's bleeding," Allison exclaims. "It's- Oh my God, Scott, it's really bad."

"Allison, go home."

"I can't just-"

"Listen to me. Go home. She'll be fine."

She nods her head quickly leaving. I look up at Scott. I look up at the night sky in a daze. Scott sets me down gently on the mobile bed. I let out a soft whimper.

"You're going to be fine," he says.

"'M gonna die," I slur.

"You sound like Stiles."

"'Cause 'm gonna die."

"You're not."

I feel my eyelids get heavy. My body fights to keep conscious. My eyes struggle to be open but I fall into a deep darkness.

I fight to open my eyes but I still feel a bit drowsy. Something feels different. Something is different. I can feel it. I know it's different. My heart pounds in my chest. I feel a hand rub against mine. I try again to open my eyes by they still feel heavy. I groan softly.

"Aura." I recognize the voice. It belong to Melissa. "D-don't move. It's bad."

I can hear her sniffle. I can smell her emotions. She's crying out of relief. She worried about me too.

"You're crying," I croak out.

"I'm fine," she kisses my forehead. "I'm just worried about you."

"Why did you guys sedate me?"

"Because you were in so much pain."

It becomes silent. My eyes slowly open to the dim light of the room. The overheard light isn't on so that makes it better. Melissa sits on the edge of the bed and takes my hand. I look up at her. Tears roll down the side of my face and look at her.

"What's wrong with me?" I ask.

"You... You have a bad shoulder injury."

"That's not what I meant."

"Get some rest."

"I called you mom." I breathe out. "I liked saying the word again. To a motherly figure. But..."

I break down into tears. Melissa begins to cry.
