* Two weeks later *

"Anything, Sarah?" I asked as I looked at her, hope filling my eyes. Sarah had shook her head, looking through her phone at everyone's schedules.

"No, I'm sorry. Nobody will be interviewing Nathan for a long while." She stated and I nodded, rubbing my forehead and resting my elbows on her desk.

"Thanks, Hun. Please, do call if anything changes." I smiled and stood up, grabbing my coat and putting my arms through the sleeves then shrugging it on.

"You know I will." she smiled as she stood up and showed me to the door. I thanked her and bid farewell then left the building. I pulled out my phone as I neared the elevator and called Lucie.

"Des? Have you gotten anything?" she asked and I nodded.

"It's not much, but it's something. I'll be heading to your house in a few."

"Alright, I'll put the coffee on." she happily said and she hung up before I could decline. I sighed and stopped into the elevator, my hand resting on my stomach and the other pushing the lobby button.

"How far along are you?" a woman, no more than 24 asked and I looked at her confused.

"I beg your pardon?" I asked and she nodded to my stomach.

"How many months are you?" she asked and I made my face look solemn.

"I'm not pregnant." I stated and the woman fell quiet, a blush rising to her cheeks. I laughed and shook my head and waved off her apologies.

"I'm just pulling your leg, Babe. I'm three months." I said and she sighed in relief.

"Do you get any morning sickness?" she asked and I shook my head.

"No, I don't. I don't get nauseous, either." I smiled at her and she nodded.

"She your first?" she asked and I nodded but tilted my head.

"How'd you know it was a girl? I don't even know."

The woman smiled and looked down at my stomach, having a far off look in her eye.

"I don't know, I just think she'll be a girl." She smiled and the elevator dinged, the elevator doors opening at the 4th floor.

"Have a great day, you two." The woman smiled and left. I smiled and looked down.

"We definitely will." I said as the elevator doors closed.

I leaned back and sighed, looking up at the vents.

Hope a scary thing doesn't rip the top off and pull me through the vents.

I laughed at my thought and looked back at the doors, just as they reached the lobby. They opened and I quickly walked out before anything from 1408 could grab me.

I nodded my head at the reception lady and opened the door that lead to the outside.

"Cheery lips, crystal skies
I could show you incredible things
Stolen kisses, pretty lies
You're the queen, baby
I'm your King" I grabbed my phone put from my pocket, putting an end to I Prevail's "Blank Space" cover.

"Hey, Babe. Just got done at the appointment. The little baby is fine." I chirped happily into the phone, knowing it would fool Sherlock.

Sherlock's end was silent and I raised a brow.

"Lock? Sherlock?!" I asked, louder this time. Ruffling was then heard.

"Oh, Destiny! I apologize, Darling. Pocket dialed you." he stated and I nodded, sighing in relief.

"Good, good. Thought you were in trouble. Anyway, appointment is over and the baby is fine." I said, lightly laughing.

"That's wonderful, so were you ready to be picked up?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Oh, no. I'll be fine. I have to head to Lucie's anyway. She wanted a quick chat before I came back."

"Alright. Call me when you're ready to be picked up." he said and I nodded, scratching the tip of my nose.

"Will do, Mr Holmes. Love ya, see you later."

"Love you too, Ms Maiden." He said and I hung up, putting my phone into my pocket. As I looked up, I had ran into someone and I stumbled backwards.

"I am so sorry Hu... Jim?!" I asked, excitedly and he looked up at me, smiling.

"Destiny! It's so lovely to see you!" He exclaimed and I hugged him.

"Likewise, Hun. Definitely likewise! So, what have you been doing? I've tried texting you, but it says your phone isn't in service anymore." I said, nudging him in the arm. He sighed and lightly tapped his forehead.

"I forgot to tell you, I got a new number and I've been meaning to text you, but one thing lead to another... And I've been real busy." He smiled and I chuckled.

"You know, if you didn't want to text me, you could have told me!" I joked and he rolled his eyes.

"Please. Who wouldn't want to talk to you? You're amazing and you're not ordinary."

"That's good, right?" I laughed and Jim nodded.

"It is very good. That would mean you'd be normal. Normal people are so boring. They're ordinary." He said, his voice trailing off. I smiled and thanked him.

"Hey, I am sorry I've got to cut this chat short, but I've got to get to work. Your number is the same, yes?" Jim asked and I nodded.

"Yes, it is." I smiled and he nodded.

"Alright, you have a good day, Destiny." He said as he hugged me and I hugged him back.

"Let's go for coffee sometime. Before I leave for London again." He said as he stepped around me and slowly started walking.

"Sounds good. See ya around, Jim!" I called as I turned around and started to walk away. I got to the corner of the busy road, lunch hour beginning. I hailed a taxi, the people traffic getting to be too much.

"1313 Mockingbird Lane." (If you've watched The Munster's, you had a great childhood.)

The cabbie had nodded and pulled away from the curb.

"You from around here?" He asked and I raised a brow at him.

"Um, yeah? Can't you tell by the accent?" I asked and he shook his head.

"No, not really. It's sounding like you're from England, or something." He said and I physically cringed.

"I've spent a year there. I guess it's rubbed off on me."

"There you go, there's the normal accent I'm familiar with." He stated and I looked out the window, not wanting to believe that my accent could fade away.

The England accents were nice and I loved hearing people talk, especially Sherlock, but I liked my accent. It's what makes me semi-unique in London: having a New York accent.

"1313, Miss." he stated and I looked up, staring at the house.

"Thanks, Hun." I stated and looked at the monitor, the ride costing $11.67. I gave him fifteen, letting him keep the change.

"Into the war zone." I said as I scratched the tip of my nose, smirking at the old saying "You scratch your nose, you'll get into a fight or kiss a fool".

Personally, I prefer the latter.
