Shopping with Skylar was more of an exercise than actual fun. This girl had us walking all over the mall searching for new outfits, when her closet is like one of the stores.
Thank God it was over. The worst two hours of my life. The only good thing that came out of it was McDonald's.
Skylar had invited me over for dinner and who am I to turn down food? I could get to know her family a bit and see what they're like. I called Veronica to let her know I won't be home for dinner, but to leave my food in the microwave.
I was now siting at the dinner table with Kimberly, Marshall and Skylar. Kimberly had prepared shrimp pasta with green salad for dinner, and let's just say I wouldn't mind coming over for dinner every night.
"How you adjusting in school Skai?" Both Skylar and I look at Kimberly when she asked her question. We exchanged a smile and I spoke.
"Great," I answered. "Skylar and I have almost all of our classes together and since I'm the popular girls twin sister, I was quickly accepted and basically treated like royalty."
"You're welcome." Skylar smiled.
I rolled my eyes at her.
Skylar's popularity rubbed off on me as everyone knew who I was. Whenever I walked down the halls the guys would hit on me (disgusting pigs) and the girls would smile and wave. It was okay.
I was respected by everyone and I returned the same respect. You have to give respect to earn it right? Or is it just me?
I lived by that rule. Respect me, and I respect you. I don't care how old you are, if you disrespect me, I won't respect you. You get what you give.
A cellphone went off and Marshall excused himself from the table.
"I never asked you," Kimberly started. " how does it feel to find your long lost twin?"
I smiled. "It's the greatest feeling ever, especially when you've had no one."
"If I had known Scarlet had twins I would have adopted you also. It would be been nice to dress you in matching outfits. You too would've looked so cute."
Skylar and I cringed at her words. I don't think we would've liked that.
"When Marshall told me he had gotten her to have a child for us, I was so happy," she smiled. "Twin girls would've been better and you two wouldn't have been separated."
"Well there no chance of separating us now," Skylar grinned. "I'm never leaving you." I smiled at her, a real genuine smile. I honestly felt like crying at the moment and I had to excuse myself.
"May I use the bathroom?" I asked quietly.
Skylar looked at me knowingly. It's like she could read my mind. Oh yeah, we're twins.
"Down the hall, first door on your right." Skylar answered.
I got up from my seat. I could hear Sky telling her that I was okay.
The house, or should I say mansion was so damm big that I think I was lost . I heard a voice coming from a half closed door. It was Marshall.
"I can't get rid of her. Skylar has attached herself to her. They're like two peas in a pod." He said.
I placed my hand over my mouth to stop myself from making any noise.
"I hope their little reunion doesn't make anyone go digging. I can't afford anyone to find out I knew about the twins."
My eyes widen and I made a small noise. I think he heard me because he stopped talking. I ran to the closest door and opened it. I found myself in a closet.
