I wasn't good with meeting new people. It was something hard for me to do. The reason being, I was quite shy and I wouldn't know what to say.

So here I was in a vehicle with my new foster mother, Veronica. She seemed nice, but everyone seems nice at first. She had black hair, grey eyes and a very pretty face. She was kind of funny too. She made some jokes, but I didn't laugh. They were funny, but she didn't need to know that .

"Skai," she said as turned into a driveway. "I know things have been tough, but I'm not the bad guy here. I just want you to feel comfortable and safe, which will be hard considering you know practically no one. But it will be okay. Just give it some time."

We got out of the car and she locked the doors. She walked over to me and reached for my hand. I took a deep breath, and I took her hand. She smiled at me and I returned it.

We walked towards the front door hand in hand. She opened the door and led me inside.

"Kids!" She shouted.

"Mom, how many times do I have to tell you we're not-" His eyes opened wide as he saw me. "Kids."

He smiled at me. I glared at him.

"Who's this pretty girl?" He asked flirtatiously.

"Smooth Jake, real smooth," A girl laughed. She turned to me. Ignore him, we all do."

"I'm standing right here!" Jake defended. I stifled a laugh.

"I'm Allysa, nice to meet you Skai. I like your name, it's nice."

"Thanks." She was really pretty. Her eyes were big and brown, and she had long brown hair. When she smiled a dimple appeared in left cheek.

"Is she here?" Another girl shouted. She ran down the stairs almost knocking Jake to the ground.

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth, but everyone calls me Liz. I hope you like it here Skai. "

Liz was gorgeous. She had long black hair and hazel eyes. Her face was one of a model. She had this mean girl look though, but she seemed nice.

"Thanks, Liz." I said .

For a person who doesn't do well with new people, I was doing fine. Maybe because they made it easy for me. They were really welcoming and full of energy. I was like that, but I was keeping my guard up.

"How does everyone know this girl, and I don't. " Jake said.

"This is our new foster sister." Allysa smiled. Allysa seem really excited to have me here. If only I was that excited.

"Foster sister? " He seemed puzzled.

"Yes foster sister," Liz said. "Mom has only been talking about her for a week now. Don't you listen? "

He shrugged. "Well, I'm Jake, I guess. I'm your new big foster brother." I winced at the word 'foster brother'. I was still traumatised by the whole situation. Ms. Chester said I have to go to therapy.

"Good to know." I grumbled.

"Wanna see your new room?" Veronica asked. "I'll take you on a tour of the house first. "

I was so busy with the girls, I didn't even realize how beautiful the house was. They had a house where you let out a'woah' because inside was so huge.

The tour included: the laundry room, the kitchen , the game room, four bathrooms, everyone's room, and lastly my room.

My room was surprisingly big. The walls were a light blue. A flat screen TV was placed on the wall. A bed in the middle of the room opposite of the tv so I could see. I had a desk and chair to do my studies I'm assuming, and dressing table, with makeup and curling and flat irons. I had a walk in closet, with clothes in it, and a bean bag chair. I've always wanted one of those.
