Interrupting Jason : Chapter 9

Kate's POV

          I quietly stood there leaning up against the rough tree trunk, while a slight breeze blew my hair out of my face. I was thinking about what I was going to say to Damian. I heard some crunching from the leaves in the distance. I looked around at the wooded area for a solid minute before seeing Damian's head pop out of a near by bush. I almost laughed at his sudden appearance.

          He slowly walked over to me. He stood there staring at me with a blank face for a little bit, probably wondering what to say first. "So what did you want to talk about?" His words stumbled out out of his mouth. I basically tackled him in a hug. "Damian!!! I remember!!" I screamed with joy. "That's great!" He yelled back.

          With no hesitation i pulled him in for a kiss.and he...Kissed back!!! I myself was surprised from his actions. After we pulled back to take a breather I did a back handspring! I had so much energy built up in my body i could to multiples if I really tried. "I am soooo sorry!" I pant. "For what?" He questioned. "For EVERYTHING!!" I holler.  He laughed at my frantic speaking.

          "Go for it" He smirked. I walked back over to the tree and I sat up on my usual tree branch.He followed and he sat on his branch. I explained everything from the day I died till this very moment."So Britney tried to convince you that you were sisters?" He joked. "Yea..That was stupid..and what was even more stupid is that I believed her!" I pouted. "You may be blonde...But your definitively not stupid! If anything Britney should be the dumb one!" He chuckled.I giggled at his response.

          We were sitting there at the perfect moment. We were looking into each other's eyes not breaking contact." You have nice eyes..." I dazed."You do to.." He mentioned back. That went on for what felt like hours before a huge acorn fell from a branch and it hit me square on the head. I shot straight up with a look of surprise. We both started laughing out butts off.

          Damian almost fell out of the tree. I grabbed his hand and pulled him back up."So um... There's a question I've been meaning to ask you for a while now..but never got the chance." he questioned. I gave him a puzzled look. "Would you do the honor if-" He was interrupted by a loud sneeze.He looked at me as if I was the one who sneezed. I put my hands up in surrender.

          His eyes darted across the area. "TOOD!!" He yelled. Jason jumped and fell out of the tree he was once in. "OW Sh*t what the hell!" He cursed. "What are you doing here Todd?" Damian spat."Y'know just listening to your conversations and such." He smirked. "How much did you here?" I pointed out. "Here long enough to see you two observing each other's mouths!" He sneered. I blush. Damian tries not to...But of course fails.

          "Awe!" Jason cooed."Just wait till Bruce hears about this!" He taunts,starting to walk away. "NO!" Damian yells and sweeps Jason's legs. "What the actual F***?" Jason shouted.He slowly started to pick himself up from the ground."You can't tell anyone!" Damian tested. "Fine! But you two owe me!" He threatened. As he walked away I stuck my tongue out at him, and Damian snickers.

          "So what did you want to ask me?" I remembered. Damian was about to speak, but Mari came down from the sky and stood in between us. "Are you two ok? I heard yelling." Mari asked concerned. "It's Nothing!" I quickly said before Damian could respond. I looked over to him and slowly shook my head.

          He got the message. "Yea, Just Jason being Jason!" Damian Joked, laughing nervously. Mari crossed her arms and raised an eye brow."Alright then. I'll fly you home Damian." She said grabbing his arm. "No thanks I'm Fineeeeeee" Damian said as he was pulled into the air. I let out a sigh. I guess I'll be walking back to the manor my self.

          About a half hour later i finally make it back the the manor. I climbed through my bedroom window, so I wouldn't disturb Damian or Mari. I laid down on my bed and decided to take a short nap.

  

Damian's POV

          I got back to the manor within about 5 minutes. About a half hour goes by and Kate arrives back. She sluggishly makes it through her bedroom window. I slowly walk up stairs and i get to her door. I slowly open it to see her laying on her bed. I quietly make it over to her bed side and sit down.

          "Sorry for leaving out back there..." Knowing she didn't hear me since she was asleep. I laid down beside her. "dang no wonder you fell asleep so fast! this bed is so comfy!" I yell in my head. maybe a little nap wouldn't hurt. I start to close my eyes, thinking of when i'll ask Kate the question i have wanted to ask her...even when she was alive. I keep on thinking before falling asleep.
