Was It Meant To Be? : Chapter 19

Kate's POV

        I blacked out shortly after, then woke up strapped down..to yet another table. I sighed and tried to struggle free, but that didn't seem to work. I look to my left and see that Yannie is also in the same position as me. On my right was Damian, and right in front of me was Katie.  I look down to see some guy in a lab coat typing on a computer.

          "What are you going to do with us?" I demand.  The lab coat guy just looked up at me, and  then just looked back down at his screen. I deep sighed and tried to break free from my restraints once more. "That won't be of any use" Britney said walking into the room. I just gave her a stone cold glare and continued what I was doing before.

        "After the transformation is complete all of you will be completely under my control!" Britney clarified.  I just continued to ignore her. "Answer me." She commanded, pulling out a small remote with a red and green button on it. I just turned my head in response. "Fine" she said pushing the red button. 

        I received a big shock through my restraints. I groaned in pain, and looked up at her. "What?" I commented in a monotone. "oh nothing" she replied in a innocent tone skipping over by the guy in the lab coat.  I just heard various mumbling, until i realized that i still had my lock pick in gloves! a smirk was placed upon my face.  I had to wait for the perfect moment to jump free from this weird table thing. 

          "Hooray!"  Britney jumped up. "Did you guys here that!? all of you will be completely under my control in 15 minutes!!" She informed. "and what makes you think that?" Damian coughed. "Well isn't it obvious who has won here?" She explained. "This is far from over!" Yannie growled. "Oh but honey it is.."  Britney taunted. "Oh shut up." Katie finally blurted out. 

        "No you!" Britney yelled pushing the red button, shocking us all.  Britney just giggled at our cries of pain and just skipped away. "finally" i sighed under my breath. I picked the lock. About 5 minutes later a click could be heard. I hopped down from the table.Everyone stared at me like I was crazy. I searched around through the computer and found out how to cancel the transformation and add time.

        "Guys I found out how to shut this thing down!!" I whisper yelled. They all silently cheered. There was a button in the corner of the room that open all of the restraints. I added more time just in case something were to come up. I was about to walk over to the button but i was interrupted by the sound of distant foot steps.

         "Crap.." I mutter, looking for somewhere to hide. I hide behind a machine type thing.  "Goodie! your time is finally up!" Britney's faint voice could be heard. Then you could hear her yells. "Another 10 minutes!! and one of them isn't even here!" she began to throw things around. I stayed in my hiding spot frozen in fear.

          "Oh come on Kathrine! Come out come out where over you are!" She echoed through out the room.  I didn't want to make any sudden movements. I was in a squatting position, My hair was in my face but i didn't care at this point. "oh there you are..." She said looking down on me. a look of fear took over my face and I made a break for it. 

          I was running through the room jumping over various machines, and what horrified me more was the fact that Britney's heavy foot steps could be heard from behind me. From there on everything seemed as if it was going in slow motion. I swiftly look up and see everyone cheering for me. As i look back down I end up tripping over one of the smaller machines. I try to stumble up to my feet but something heavy falls on my leg.

        It felt like it sprained it or possibly broke it but i didn't care. The life of my friends were on the line. I pilled my leg out and limped towards the button. I felt like I was running a marathon. I was almost there. every muscle in my leg commanded me to stop. But I kept going. I dove for the button and slammed it down. 

          I could hear the opening of the restraints in the distance and my friends yelling in joy. "No! you ruined everything!! I can't control anyone anymore!!" I felt a grin come upon my face. I turned around ready to confront her. But as soon as i turned around I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I look down to see Britney pushing a knife deeper and deeper into my stomach. 

        A huge grin came upon her face as she looked at me pull it out and fall to the ground. You could hear Yannie, Katie, and Damian yelling in the back ground.

        Maybe mt death was just meant to be. I mean luck is obviously not on my side. I laid there on the cold tile floor holding my stomach, Hot tears streamed down my cheeks.  My eye lids got heavier and heavier, but I held in. 

        The last thing I saw before blacking out was my three friends walking up to me with looks of worry on there faces.
