KATHRINE!!! :Chapter 20

Kate's POV

        I woke up with bright lights filling the whole room. I groaned and tried to sit up, but felt a pain in my stomach so I laid back down. I lifted up my shirt to see stitches just above my belly button.  I ran my fingers over the stitches and they felt.. weird. I looked around to see that I was in the hospitable room in the Batcave. 

        I built up my strength and got up and out of the bed, holding my stomach. I almost fell from the sudden pressure on my feet. Then everything that had previously happened rushed back into my mind. What had happened to everyone, the Batcave! I rushed out of the room to see everything back to normal. But there was no one in the Batcave.

      Except one person typing at the computer. I slowly and cautiously made my way over there. I looked over the seat to see Tim typing there. " W-What happened?" I slowly stuttered. My words seemed to scare him. "Oh good your awake." He sounded relieved. "What happened!" I narrowed my eyes at him. "It's a long story.." He sighed.

        "Well I have the time" I say leaning up against a wall. "Ok, So i'm really not familiar with what really happened before i showed up so this is what I know... Slade sent me on a wild goose chase to find you guys. For a while I thought you guys were at the ware house as captives.I searched the house high and low..But found nothing." He sighed looking at the ground.

        " I never thought you guys were here. I rushed here as fast as I could..Buy by the time I arrived you were on the floor bleeding out, Katie and Yannie were beating the crap out of Britney, and Damian..I'll just not go there. But anyways Bruce,Jason,Dick,and Mari were all on the ground unconscious as well. I had Damian give you medical attention while the rest of us got all of Slade's men completely gone. There all in Arkham now.even Britney..But some how Slade got away." He explained.

          "How long have I been out?" i ask raising a eye brow. "Just a few days.." Tim said going back to typing on the computer. I just sighed and decided to walk up stairs.  I  walk up the stairs to see the usual. Dick trying to give Damian a hug, Jason taking apart and putting back together his guns. Alfred was Dusting paintings, Bruce was writing papers, and Mari was coloring.

          I stood staring at them fro a good minute before I coughed drawling all attention to me. "KATHRINE!!!" Dick screamed pulling me into a tight hug. "Don't call me that" I sputter out.  "Nice to see you again Kitten" Jason smirked before going back to his guns. " Oh Friend Kate! I sincerely apologize for my actions! please forgive me. Perhaps we started off on the wrong of the foot." She said putting out her hand waiting for me to shake it.

          "No hard feelings" I said shaking her hand, and smiling. Damian just looked up at me. Blushed the slightest bit. Just enough for me to see, before he faded out of the room. "Oh Kathrine..Bruce has to talk to you!!!" He said pointing over to his office. I gulped before slowly making my way towards Bruce's office.

          "Kate.. I'm am really sorry for how i have been treating you for the past week or so. I had no control over what I could do..or what I could say. I would have never done that to you, and I am most glad that you are alive." He explained. "Oh it's fine..Not the first time." I mumbled under my breath. "I'll go get something to eat" I quickly say leaving the room avoiding a conversation.

          I opened the fridge looking for something to eat. I was starving! There was nothing good to eat at the time..So I just took a piece of Alfred's famous chocolate cake!! I got a really big piece to. I sit down at the table and start to stuff my face with cake.as I am eating my cake Damian plops down in the seat next to me. "I am happy to see that you are up and about Kyle.." Damian quotes, then looks down at my plate of cake.

       "Yea thanks Dames.." I sigh still eating my cake. "Friend Damian! let's go take part in the eating of the marshmallows!!!" She yells starting to drag him away. "Bye Kyle" he sighs. "Bye Dames" I sigh back looking down at my half eaten cake. My mood just dropped about 50 levels. I was in a way worse mood than I was before. 

       I was upset to I took a tub of chocolate ice cream and walked up to my room to watch criminal minds. "Heck.. why am i so upset?"  I think to myself stuffing my face with ice cream. "Are you jealous of Mari?" a weird voice sounded in my head."What!No!What!How!" Those words started going through my head.

        "Calm down it's just me!KATIE!!" The voice in my head yelled back. "How the-" I started "I figured out how to do this mind reading thingy!" She yelled in excitement.  "great..." I mind sigh. "So...YOU STILL LIKE DAMIAN?????????" She hollers causing me to hold my head. "Ugh..maybe..but you can;t go telling everyone especially Mari!" I yell back

       "My lips are sealed" She said joyfully before her voice disappeared. I just deep sigh and continue to eat my ice cream.

Love is so dang confusing!! you can never get it completely right.but since Mari is back.. I'm pretty sure I completely lost my Chance with Damian...
