Magic? : Chapter 14

Kate's POV

"So want to go out and do something" Jason asked leaning up against the dark colored wall.

"Where would we go" I questioned brushing mt long blonde hair out of my eyes.

" I don't know...Maybe Starbucks or McDonalds..." He chuckled.

I laughed at his response almost loosing balance. "Can we just go to Dairy queen? I'll explain everything that happened" Settling myself.

"Sure, but your not going out like that are you?" We said pointing at my current attire. I hadn't realized that i didn't take off my blood covered sweatshirt along with my skinny jeans.

"What's wrong with what I am wearing?"  I said looking down at my clothes.

"Since I'm going our as Red Hood you should go out as Catgirl with me!" He filled in as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. I nodded, picked up my bag and ran into the bathroom getting ready. In about 5 minutes I pop out of the bathroom as Catgirl. I even did some jazz hands.

"Ready to go" He asked putting his mask on.

"Yea Lets go." I slowly said.

          We exited through this weird window type thing on the roof. He pulled our his grappling gun and was about to shoot, before he realized I didn't have one. He pulled one from his holster and handed it to me. "How the heck do I even use this thing?" I gasp inspecting it. "Simple Aim.Shoot.Glide" He said shooting his.

          I found the trigger, I aimed for a near by building and shot it.I was nervous, But then I thought. "Well there's a first time for everything!" Once it was it was solid i built up the courage to jump. It was the scariest thing ever until you got the hang of it. Jason would laugh when i would almost fall off the edge, but then we eventually made it to dairy queen. Everyone was surprised by our appearance. Who thought Catgirl and The Red Hood would walk into dairy queen?

Almost everyone were taking pictures of us. Even some of the employees! After we got our ice cream we decided to sit up on the roof. We settled our self on the roof on this windy night. I told him everything that went down with me and Damian. Despite him being a grown man, he understood everything I told him.

          I ended up throwing my ice cream at a bird in frustration. " Well Kitten...Your actually pretty lucky that you got the demon spawn to even hug you!" He added then we laughed. "But why would Mari..." I started. "Look I don't know what the hell is going on with Mari! She's never acted this way before!" He yells, throwing his ice cream at a bird.

          "Why are boys so confusing!?" I ask out loud. "It's not just boys. It's Damian. See he's the type of person that chooses not to show emotion. Just kinda stay away from him until this whole drama thing cools down." He explains. "Ok thanks JayJay" I say trying to hold back laughter. "Don't call me that!" He commanded. "Ok sorry!" I laugh. "Do I need to tell Bruce your here!" He joked. "No! The last thing I need is for anyone to know I'm staying with you!" I yelled.

          "Alrighty then..I guess we should head back...Unless you want to kick some butt before we go!" He says. I held up two fingers and a small smile plastered across my face. We grabbed our grappling guns and shot them. I didn't notice at the time...But mine wasn't stuck in place. I didn't notice till I jumped off the roof. The hook loosened and I started to fall.

           I started falling. One small whimper escaped my mouth. The ground was getting closer and closer..But I never smacked the ground. I was picked up by some type...of...Magic? I was placed gently on the ground. and I quickly scrambled to my feet. I looked around in the darkness trying to find at least someone!

          "Thanks Katie."Jason said jumping down from a near by building."Katie?" I mumbled under my breath. A girl about my age crept out of the darkness. With Black hair and blue eyes. "So who are you?" i said looking at her appearance.

          "I'm Katie Grayson...and you are" She sassed back crossing her arms. "Kathrine or Kate Kyle" I say stepping back. "This is Dick's sister."Jason blurted out, but quickly covering his mouth. I raised my eyebrow."Uh so Katie right? What are you doing here anyway?" I ask slowly backing up.

          "Well I was on my way back home after a mission when i say you falling." She said looking away from me. "Yea Damian would kill me if-" He stopped talking when he noticed I was listening. "Well then..Nice meeting you but i think we....have...to.........go."My speaking slowed as I looked up and saw...
