There Still Here! : Chapter 17

Kate's POV

          I basically tackled Yannie onto the floor. My head snaps up to see Damian with the gun in his hand, while the Joker was on the ground hysterically laughing. "Yannie?!You ok?????" I asked looking for blood. "I'm Fine! this nice concert floor cushioned the blow." She said rubbing her side. "Oh sorry." I say helping her up off the ground.

         "Where did the bullet go?" Katie asked. "look up" Damian moaned. "So what are we supposed to do now?" Yannie asks. "Uh well we give these freaks to Arkham" Damian says as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Thanks for the advice" Yannie glared at Damian.

        We called Arkham police then just left the three unconscious me in front of the building. We were approaching the manor when i stopped dead in my tracks. "I can't go back." I mutter."Yes you can!" Yannie says. "But I just can't!" I beamed."Says who?" Damian complains. "Says psychopathic Bruce in there trying to permanently get rid of me!" I exploded.

       "Oh Him? He won't let him lay a finger on you! and if he does he'll most likely loose them!" Katie laughs."Thanks Katie..But i don't think you'll need to do that!" I joke as i hug Katie. I take a deep breath as I walk up to the manor with Yannie, Katie, and Damian.

          We slowly opened the door to nothing..No sound...Not Jason..No Mari..No Dick..No nothing..."I have a bad feeling about this" Damian warned. We all nodded and began to look around the manor.Still Nothing. It was if everything was abandoned.But the cars were still in the garage, and there was still food in the fridge.

          We headed down to the Batcave expecting the worse.But empty..Until we got to one part of the cave.There was Dick and Jason lying on the floor..blood covered...not moving...We checked to see if they were still breathing, and they were. We took a sigh of relief and began searching that spot for evidence. I found a ninja star..I handed it to Damian  and he said it was from the league of assassins.But not the one he was from.

          We were inspecting the ninja star, when another was thrown at us. "There still in the Cave" Yannie yells ducking. About 5 of these assassin guys start to attack us. "what these are just kids?" One of the assassins complained.

           "Were not just 'kids'!!!" Katie yells using her magic to throw the guy into the wall. "We need to  move this out of the cave" Damian yells running towards the exit. We followed Damian out and the assassins followed us out. We just kept on following Damian. We eventually made it into the town , the streets were loud and busy. "Why would he lead us here" I thought confused.

          We started to fight the assassins once more it was getting harder and harder to hold them off. We were out numbered, but we still managed to hold them off. One of them manage to pick up Damian and thew him into the window of a store...

Damian's POV

          'CRASH !' The sound of breaking glass filled the air. I hit a shelf of something. I took me a while to regain full vision, but when i looked up...Lucky me... There were various sized knives,machetes, and katanas scattered all over the floor."They threw the wrong kid into the wrong store" I smirked picking up one of the Katan's. 

          I ran back out to see Kate and Yannie lying on the ground and Katie being strangled by one of the men. I rushed over as fast as I could and stabbed the man strangling Katie in the leg.He screamed in pain as he let go of Katie and fell to the ground. I quickly got in my fighting stance and attacked the men. Me and Katie held them off long enough for the police to arrive, They arrested the men.

           Me and Katie started to walk away when we realized that Yannie and Kate were still on the ground.I rushed over to Kate while Katie rushed over to Yannie. I panicked on what i was supposed to do. I turned her over and put my ear to her chest. "heart beat...Good" I thought.

           I got a little water from a puddle and splashed some onto her face. One eye opened after the other, Then her blue eyes were staring into mine. I feeling of guilt came over me. I broke the eye contact and got up. I held out my hand to help her up. But she denied and got up her self. "Thanks.." she mumbled under her breath.

         Yannie was fine too. We all started to walk back to the manor in complete silence. Kate was staring at the ground the while time. Katie was throwing acorss and leaves around with her magic. Yannie was zapping the clouds in the sky..and I just messed around with a baterang all the way back to the manor...
