I'm Sorry : Chapter 25

Kate's POV

        I tried to take a shower to wash away all my worries and pain..But of course that didn't help. All it did was get me clean. After that I hopped onto my bed and turned on my TV trying to forget what had previously happened. I turned on Criminal Minds and started to watch it. I eventually feel asleep.

        I woke up the next morning, basically scared out of my mind to even think about heading down to stairs and into the dinning room. I put some socks on and begun to creep down the stairs. I made it to the doorway of the dinning room and begun to listen to their conversation.

"Kate is going to be so mad at you Damian!" Yannie warned him. 

"I still can't believe our little Kathrine called us all idiots!" Dick concerned.

"Come on guys she was just really mad at the time!" Katie said.

        I awkwardly walked in and took the seat in between Mari and Dick again. I played with my spoon as everyone stared at me.

"What?" I looked up at everyone.

        They all freaked out and quickly looked down. I just sighed and walked into the kitchen, where Alfred was making breakfast. I leaned up against the cold counter and sighed. 

"Still worried about last nigh Mistress Kyle?" Alfred said, his eyes not leaving the stove.

"You said it" I grunted. "I think I'll skip breakfast today...I need to go out to get my mind off of things." I get up and get a granola bar from the cabinet.

"As you wish Mistress Kyle. and do have a nice day" Alfred concerned as I left the Kitchen. I left my room to read or something. I got board of just reading in my room. So I walked out to the secret tree to read there. Then I started to walk around the square...So much different places to go.. Antique store, a tiny movie theater, and the....Chocolate Factory....I sighed and left the square. 

        I made a mistake to walk by Gotham Academy. People were apparently out side...and they were all staring at me... "Is that Kate?" "Isn't she dead?" "Wait isn't Kate Catgirl or something?" various questions came from the crowds of kids. so i just sped walked away.

        I tried calling Becca, but her mom picked up and said that she was at her Grandmas. Great I'm walking around Gotham all alone with no one to talk to...I might as well talk to that hobo that's is always around me..

        Lost in my thought I accidentally ran into a pole. There was a gang hiding in a small alley i was near. 

"Are you ok darling?" One of them ask putting a hand on my shoulder. I smacked it off and continued to walk away from them.

"Oh She's playing hard to get isn't she?" Another said grabbing onto my hair. I smacked his hand off and continued to walk. Trying not to go a-wall on them.

"Your going to where." One of them smirked and stood right in front of me. Two of the bigger men pinned me to the wall. The more skinny looking one got really close to my face. His breath reaked of alcohol. 

"Oh come on baby-" He started but i had it with him. I kicked the man where the sun doesn't shine. He fell back on to the ground moaning.

        I got one of my arms free and punched the guy in the face. I took the three men down with in 5 minutes. "So far this has been the worst day ever!

        I spent the rest of the day just roaming Gotham. Not caring what happened the rest of the day. I wondered to the very top of Wayne productions. It was a windy night. The sun had just set. I sat on the edge of the building, observing the view below me. The car light were so bright reflecting off near by street signs. The street lights a lined perfectly. and the civilians below...the couples.

           I saw a group of friends below having the time of there life. Then I see of a near by roof top... There they all were Damian, Yannie, Katie, Jason, Tim, and Dick...all standing there laughing? even freaking Damian was laughing!

        I've had it...I just get in the way...That has clearly proved I should have just stayed dead. I stood up on the edge of Wayne Productions holding out my arms feeling one last breeze. It felt like paradise as it blew through my hair. Hot Tears started ti stream down my face.

        I mumbled a few last words "I'm sorry..." I whisper before shifting all of my weight forward and letting myself fall.
