You are going to plan an investigation that will allow you to find out how PH affects the growth of yeast. (4 marks)
For this question you need to:
- Describe clearly how you would carry out the investigation
- Explain what way you would show your working out, in a way that you can make conclusions.

I have counted how many bubbles there were released in one minute for each of the yeast mixtures. I have taken more than one set of results for each PH so I am going to calculate the mean number of bubbles produced in one minute for each PH. I will do this by adding the number of bubbles together and dividing by the number of trials. When i have done this I will put the information in a line graph.This example was taken from the edexcel GCSE science text book. This has proved very useful and I recommend that you get revision materials like this to aid you in your revision. It is very important to tackle as many past paper questions, so that you become familiar with the type of questions asked in the actual exam.
Also having looked a at previous exam papers, you will notice trends in exam questions. Make sure you learn these questions and their answers off by heart because they are guaranteed to come up on the actual exam.
