Chapter 10 

  Bang!

When Shadow looked at Scourge, he saw that Scourge's gun had light smoke coming out of the bullet hole. He looked down and saw that the left side of his chest was bleeding... badly... Shadow slowly decendented down to his knees, and fell onto his back.

Sonic was eyes widened in heart breaking shock. Sonic tried to yell Shadow's name... but all that came out was a muffled sound. Tears where pouring out of Sonic's eyes. He couldn't believe that Scourge just shot Shadow with his gun. "Blade... untie Sonic..."

"Why?"

"I'll let Sonic have his last few moments with him... now UNTIE him... before I kill you as well..."Scourge hissed.

"Alright..."

Blade untied Sonic. The little blue hedgehog ran up to Shadow in tears screaming the black hedgehogs name, like he was the one who had taken the bullet. "Shadow please... you have to hold on! PLEASE! Ohhh... your bleeding so *sob* badly.... IT'S ALL MAH FAULT!" Sonic cried in pain and anger. He held Shadow's head up to his chest. Slowly rocking back and forth while sobbing... "Sonic... please...listen to me, your stronger than this.... you can take him down...." Shadow weakly said, slowly reaching down to his gun pocket. He slowly handed Sonic the gun... Scourge was watching the whole the thing, all he wanted to was gag. "Hurry up, Sonic! You and me have things to do." Scourge rudely interrupted. "How? How could you! He is my mate, my seme! He is my seme!" Sonic screamed in anger, and hate, while slowly standing up from where Shadow was laying. Luckly his bullet wound was all the bad, he would just be in bed for a while....

"Your coming with me Sonic, and that's FINAL!" Scourge yelled at Sonic making the blue hedgehog flinch. "NO! I'm tired of you following me,chasing me down, and trying to force me into having sex with you! I don't even like you! No body likes you! It's time I stand up for mahself, and stand up for all the others that were taken by YOU!" Sonic screamed, while pulling out the gun that Shadow had handed to him moments before. Sonic pulled back the trigger, and was about to shoot Scourge in the heart... that is were the gun was aimed... right at the heart.

"Put the gun down Sonic, you don't know what your doing with that thing!" Scourge panicked. Sonic looked like he was going to have a mental breakdown! "No! think about all the time you had a gun pointed at mah head or body! This is just payback... for all that you've done to me, my friends, and now my mate... " Sonic spoke with hatred in his voice. Shadow tried to lift his head to what the two hedghogs where doing... but when he did his vision blurred. All Shadow saw was blurred blue and green figures. He tried to get up, but failed... Sonic heard a thump on the ground, he looked back to Shadow trying to get up. Scourge saw an opportunity to take his gun, and he used it. Scourge pinned Sonic down to the ground, he held Sonic down hard making sure that the smaller hedgehog wouldn't get up. The force pushed out a lot of air from Sonic's lungs. "Now Sonic, are we going to have anymore problems....with you and me." Scourge said, while putting more force on Sonic's body. Scourge slowly stood up and kept one foot on the blue one's back, keeping him pinned to the ground. Sonic just moaned in pain, his eyes where shut tight from all pain in his chest he was having.

"No... no more ... please... Just leave Shadow alone. If you let him live, I'll go with you... please... just let me get him help please..." Sonic panted, all the pressure from Scourge boot was killing him. He couldn't take it anymore... neither could Shadow. He couldn't let Shadow suffer as well. "Let me get my friend Tails he'll take care of Shadow... please, just so he can live... " Sonic grunted, trying to look up at Scourge, but it was rather difficult cause of Scourge standing on his back.

Scourge stared down at the little one below him, giving him a look in not believing him one bit. "Fine... Go, and get your your little fox friend. You have five minutes to go, and find him. NOW GO!" Scourge scowled, lifting his leg up to let Sonic up. The blue hedgehog got up slowly. Scourge was losing his patience, so he kicked Sonic in his rear end. Sonic yelped, and when he got up he rubbed the cheek that got kicked. Shadow layed there coughing, still holding on to his wound. 'Hold on Shadow... ah'll get you help..I promise...' Sonic sadly thought, hoping that Shadow would survive.

Sonic ran off looking for his "brother", hoping to find him in his little work shop. Luckly Sonic new that most of the time that his brother was home. He prayed that he was home!

After two minutes of running... Sonic skidded to a stop, and immediately knocked on the door. "Hello? Are you a criminal?!"

"No... It's me your brother... Sonic...." He yelled through the door.

Tails opened the door, and saw that his brother was in a paniced state. The fox moved aside, and let the older hedgehog in hoping to get some answers from him. Sonic walked in, holding his hands on his head afraid of what might happen if he didn't hurry. "Listen Tails I need a huge favor from you, a really huge favor!" Sonic said, while shaking the foxes shoulders.

"O-okey?"

"I need you to watch over Shadow for me... He's hurt... bad... Please I need your help..." He pleaded.

"You mean, you want me to watch over that black hedgehog that I met at the bar! The one who gave me looks, and growls? Ohhh... no...no,no,no.... NO!" Tails disagreeded, because Shadow truely did scare him!

"WHAT! Whah, won't you?! I've done many things for you! remember the last expartment we did together..."

"We swore, we'd never bring that up again!"

"Well I'm bringing it back!"

"Fine, I'll help you...."

"Yay! I love you! Okey lets go!" Sonic yelled, while running off to get Shadow.

"What have I gotten myself into..." Tails said, shaking his head in disprovement.

Scourge was standing, and looking around waiting for the hedgehog that he wanted to claim. Shadow still layed there, having trouble breathing. All Shadow could do was pant. Too Shadow, it felt like his lungs where filling up with water. He was in so much pain from where the pullet had hit him. "Ughhh.... What happened.... Where's Sonic?" Shadow asked, looking at Scourge. "He is no longer any of your concern... He is saving your life by coming with me. Also he went to get his friend... what's his name.... AH! Tails! that was it. " He said, bending down to Shadow's level.

"What... why is he getting Tails then?" Shadow asked. He was trying to keep his head together, it was really hard to 'cause of all the pain he was having. "The reason why he went to get Tails, so that he could take care of you, while I take Sonic from you, and this little town."He said, patting Shadow's cheek like he was dog earning his treat. "YOU BASTARD! SONIC WOULD NEVER GO WITH YOU ! He hates you!. " The black hedgehog yelled in anger. "Well... this does prove that Sonic has true feelings for you.... otherwise.. he would of let you die." He grinned, hoping Shadow would die right here, and now.

'Sonic ah promised that ah would protect from him, but looks like I failed... When you come back I hope you can for give me...' Shadow thought in sorrow. Shadow closed his eyes, and thought about what Scourge might do to Sonic when His mate comes back. All Shadow could think about was Sonic screaming at the top of lungs, begging for help... pleading for Shadow to come, and save him from his pain. Then he heard foot steps, and they where coming quick. Then he heard panting... he turned his head to see what was coming, but he was slowly closing his eyes, Shadow was going to pass out! Yet, Shadow did pass out before... before he could Sonic picking him up, and handing him to Tails.

Tails took Shadow to his home, in hopes of healing Shadow. He hoped that Shadow would heal in time to save his brother from that jerk of hedgehog... all he could do was get the bullet out of Shadow's chest. Boy... that's going to be difficult to do with Shadow being stubborn, while Scourge took Sonic to a new town...Scourge new Shadow would come for his mate, so he took him where he would never be found. Station Square... it was one of the biggest towns in this part of the desert.

All Tails, and Sonic could hope for was that Shadow would heal him just in time. That's all either of them could hope for... that Shadow would save Sonic from Scourge...and bring him home safely.
