  Chapter 13

Shadow and Knuckles where at the gate. By the looks of the place you could tell that the building really, really, old. A piece of brick fell and spooked the horses. "Easy! Easy! Bello it's okay. It was just a brick..." Shadow calmly said, petting his horse on it's neck trying to calm it. Bello snorted in discomfort. "Maybe it's best we leave them here. so if we need a quick get-away.... ya know?" Knuckles stated, referring to the horses. "Yeah that might be best," Shadow answered, mounting off his horse... Knuckles soon followed.


Shadow loaded his regular pistol... as did Knuckles. Luckily they had more rounds... 'cause they knew they would need them in later terms. Knuckles led the way in... because, he's been here before the same thing happened to him when he was younger.... "What do you mean you've been here before?" Shadow whispered. "Well, When I was little around the age of twelve... I met this amazing girl... it was love at first sight... We spent every minute of everyday together.. then someone took her from me.. took her here, she became a thief, and a wanted criminal... her name was Rouge... She was never the same after she escaped here. Lets hope Sonic hasn't lost his mind..." Knuckles explained, looking down... he felt a shamed because he couldn't save the one he loved. But, now it's his job to help Shadow in finding Sonic in this dark place. Shadow and left the front gate, it was weird... there where no guards? "Why aren't there any guards? You'd think that Scourge would leave some men out here..." Shadow said, while he and Knuckles snuck to the front the door.

Shadow held up his gun to the side of face, ready for what was going to out from the door. Knuckles was in the same position, ready as ever. They both nod to each other.

"Ready, Knuckles?"

"Ready."

Shadow kicked the door down as hard as he could. He quickly put his gun forward, making sure there was no one around. "Let's go!" He whispered, waving his hand forward.. signaling Knuckles to move forward. When knuckles and Shadow entered the main lounge they saw a bunch of men drinking and having a good time. Shadow looked disgusted with them... they where all partying while his mate was in danger! The B*****ds. "Evening gentlemen. I hope me and Knuckles aren't late... Well that doesn't matter anymore... Now tell me where Sonic the hedgehog is ...or.... die by mine and his gun," Shadow threatened... none of the men weren't scared of them. They had no reason to be!

"Oh... and why should we be tell you where you little friend is? I mean, it's not like he'll remember you anymore anyway?" One of the ten men said, getting close to Shadows and Knuckles faces. "It's like I said before... ya'll die by my gun and his gun... I'll make sure that soul goes straight down to Hell...along with your friends standing over there!" Shadow yelled getting in the wolfs face, pointing at the group of men.

"I'd like to see you try little boy," said the gray wolf...but calling Shadow a little boy? Big mistake! In a blink of an eye (literally.)Shadow had shot him in the stomach! All of the men in the back gasped in shocked. The wolf puked up a little blood...and fell on the floor like dead wight. "Now... are you going to tell him where Sonic is or do you want me and Shadow to finish you off too?" Knuckles said, referring to his and Shadow's beloved guns.


All pointed to the door on the left.

"Thanks," Knuckles said, tipping' his hat.

Shadow and Knuckles ran into the door. Hoping there would just be one other door behind this door but... THERE WAS A WHOLE HALLWAY FULL OF DOORS!! Shadow and Knuckles looked at each other. "You one side and I got the other?" Shadow asked. "Sure."

Both the hedgehog and echidna went door to door opening each one. But there was one door that was locked.

Scourge had finally come back from his "adventure" as he called it. Scourge opened the door to find trying to open the window. "Well now, I didn't inspect to see MY mate trying to break free... that's a bad little hedgie..." Scourge said walking to Sonic who was still trying to pry open the window. Sonic quickly turned around, making his back touch the backboard of the window. "What are ya doin' back so early? You said you wouldn't be back till later," Sonic asked, hoping Scourge would stop getting so close to him. Now Sonic was scared of him, really scared. "Well it didn't take long to get the 'things' that i needed for you..." Scourge said, holding Sonic chin with his right hand.

"Come with me.. Now!" Scourge sneered, giving the hedgehog a tight tug on the arm. Sonic was in shock! He tried pulling back but Scourge being a seme, automatically made him stronger him. But nothing worked the grip he had on poor Sonic had really began to hurt more than it already did. "Do you have to squeeze so hard?! And let go of me!" Sonic yelled, trying to pry his arm away from Scourge. But Sonic wasn't strong enough too. He had no chance. "Shadow and a new friend of his are in the building. They will be here shortly. Their here for you... But they won't have you..." Scourge told Sonic. Scourge took him through a secret passage, Scourge was the only one who new about the hallway. 'What's Scourge up too...' Sonic thought to himself. Finally Scourge and Sonic were at the end of the long, dark hallway. Scourge pulled a leaver, while still gripping Sonic's left arm. The leaver opened another hidden door and it lead to the open world. "Scourge? where are taking you me?" Sonic asked with curiosity. Scourge grabbed a bag that was pitch black and was made of ruff fabric. He places it on Sonic's head, covering his face. "H-HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!GET THIS THING OFF'A ME!" panicked. He tried to take it off but, Scourge grabbed his hands and wrapped them up in a strong rope. "Relax Blue! gezz! I'm not gonna hurt ya. I'm just blinding you," Scourge said, tying the rope into a knot, he tightened it enough so that Sonic couldn't get lose.

Scourge lifted Sonic over his shoulder and walked over to his saddled horse that was currently waiting for them. "Sonic. Spread your legs..." Scourge commanded, and for some reason Sonic did as he was told. Scourge put Sonic in the saddle and was about to mount himself.

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE SCOURGE! YOUR NOT GOING ANYWHERE!"
