A burst of galloping hooves hit the ground, it was the rustlers that where after Sonic. They where on there way to Scourge's hide-out,eventually all five riders pulled the rains on thier horse's bit to stop the horse's feet. All five mobians hopped off thier horses and walked up to the building. 

 The building looked like it was a bar and it was. So they prepared to tell Scourge the bad news about capturing the hedgehog. They all went into the back door, which in this building was Scourge's office. All of Scourge's men where afriad of him, and none off the three men wanted to tell Scourge the news. Somehow he knew they where there, waiting at the door...

  "Come in boys" Scourge said in a low and deadly tone. "well, well,did we get my little hedgehog today..., or did he escape... again..." Scourge said, while sharping his dagger.The men looked at Scourge, then each other... " Wellll, answer me NOW!!"Scourge yelled, leaning over his desk, while bearing his sharp, razer like teeth. All of them shook in the chairs that they all fell into, when Scourge yelled at them. "Uumm.... well, we where chasing him down on the town's road and he disappered..." the leader of the group studdered. " Nooo.., he out-smarted you, you idiots!! " "B-but.."one of the men studdered. " OUUUUTTT, ugh.., I work with idiots..,I will get you Sonic... if it's the last thing I do, you will have my pups and my pups alone..." Scourge said, while looking at a photo of Sonic. He walked out out of his office and mounted his horse and rode off to find Sonic, his men had followed him shortly afterward...  

   While with Sonic and Shadow...  

   Shadow had woken up and went to the room, where he had let Sonic sleep that night, Shadow had  walked up to the door and knocked. He waited for a moment, and no one came to answer the the bedroom door.So Shadow had opened the door slowly, incase if Sonic was still asleep, but no one was there. The bed was made, but Sonic wasn't there, that made Shadow a bit werided out. Shadow walked down the hallway and thought, 'Maybe he left, and didn't tell me'? As Shadow turned the corner, he smelled... food cooking? When he turned into the kitchen he saw Sonic makeing breakfest for the both of them. Shadow walked up quietly behind Sonic, because he was still half asleep, he tapped Sonic on the Shoulder. Sonic looked behind him and jumped in fright, he panted heavly in shock. " Don't do that! You could gave me a heart attack!" He panted, breathing heavly. "Well, why don't you pay attention to your surroundings better...," Shadow said mockingly to the younger hedgehog. Sonic just glared at Shadow. " well, here i made us breakfest so we have fuel for the day. I didn't know what you like, but I made you some eggs and pancakes." Shadow looked at the table, where he had set it up for the morning meal. Shadow was amazed, at the table layed two glasses of applejuice, and there meals, which Sonic had prepared for them.Shadow had said thanks and they both ate. Shadow had asked Sonic if he Could help out around the ranch for awhile, since Sonic was in know hurry to get anywhere...  So Shadow was cleaning the horse's stalls, while Sonic was feeding the horse's and other animals around the ranch. Shadow saw how Sonic was really good with the horses, he petting them and speaking to them as if they were like a person, like a care taker. As Shadow was looking at Sonic's figure, it was very girl like, wide, but slim hips,thin belly, and long cobolt quills to make that women figure... Shadow thought ' wow, a boy looking like girl, but all male.' Soon enough he was having pervert daydreams,"Wait what am I thinking?! He would never be with me.. but Sonic did say strange things last night...."

flashback...

  Sonic was tossing and turning in his sleep, he was having a nightmare, about Scourge and what he had planed to do with his body. Shadow woke up hearing noises from the other room, Shadow tiredly walked down the hallway to check up on Sonic and he was talking in his sleep.. "No, stay away... from me, i'll never go with.. you." said Sonic , while still in night mare. Shadow was wondering what he was dreaming about, 'maybe he's dreaming about that Scourge guy, I know he didn't tell me everything about what's going lately... I'll let him sleep another night tomorrow... and see how it goes... He went back to bed, and fell in the in the land of slumber...

end of flashback...

  "Shadow... Shadow...SHADOW!" Sonic called, glaring at Shadow, a little annoyed. "Hey I finished feeding the horses is it alright if I leave, I should really be going." he asked with slight hesitation. "NO!" He exclaimed, Shadow quickly covered his mouth, thinking 'where did that come from.' Sonic looked at him, with wide eyes. "Wait, why...is there more work to be done, if there is i don't mind finishing up.." Shadow had to think of something, and quick. "What was I thinking, saying 'no', what's wrong with me!' "I'm waiting..." he said, getting mad cause Shadow wasn't anwsering. " Whyyy... don't you stay another night, cause well-" Sonic had covered his mouth, not wanting to strain himself from talking. 'why is Shadow blushing, I can see red all over his cheeks.' Sonic was starting to think that one liked the other. Sonic leaned in and kissed his cheek,Shadow just stood there, not knowing what to do.
