The Han River is a remarkable landmark in Korea; the dark depths of the waves remind me that our lives can be disappointing at times but life is beautiful overall. I stare over the bridge into the water, wondering what would happen if I jumped in.

A tall figure jumps into the empty space next to me. I turn my head to the side and glare him down as if there are laser beams shooting out of my eyes.

"The Han River is gorgeous, isn't it?" He doesn't even look at me as he says it; he's busy staring at the beautiful scenery. At least we connect well together due to the fact that we like to watch scenery.

"I've always wanted to go see this River with my boyfriend or husband, but I don't think I'll be able to get one any time soon." I hint to this gorgeous boy that it's time for him to do his thing. Hell no; I'm not making no first move. Nope.

"Unfortunately, all of us are NPCs... if you fall in love with one of us, you'll have a hard time getting over him when you leave the game." A part of his voice sounds like regret, but I pay no attention to it.

Wow, I want to meet a flirt but this guy's just doesn't a clue about romance. Eh, he's just the first one and I have a whole world (?) of men to choose from, so it's all good.

Trying not to lose my sanity because this guy's hot and I want to kiss him, I flash him an awkward smile. I tap my Chip and the Stat bars come up. The wind picks up and blows my hair all over the place as I click onto the 'Add Relationship' button.

Kang Min Hyuk

I click on the button under his name that says I will add him as a friend. Why not, I mean he doesn't seem so bad.

A buzz sound comes from him and Minhyuk immediately pulls up his Stats. The notification, of course, is from me.

"Okay," he presses accept, "let's be friends."

How the f*ck did he just walk off like I mean nothing to him? Yes, I know that all of the guys here are basically computer generated but they're basically like real men! It says it right in the manual.

I'm actually surprised at how man people are in this game. This morning when I just joined this world, there were barely any people on the street that I was on. Now I'm walking in a crowd of people towards... I don't know.

I pull out my virtual phone and look at all of my contacts. No one. I thought that all of the people you add in the Stat box thing automatically gets added to your contact book on the phone, but no. We have to manually do it.

You know, this phone isn't half as bad as I thought. It has a sleek design; you know like the tempered glass of a S—

I stop in front of a huge building with human sized purple Hotel sign hovering in the air but still connected to the building. Ah, the hotel clichés I see in k-dramas. I seriously wish that I can ha—

Someone swoops me up into their arms and covers my mouth with their hand before I start screaming like nuts. Oh, wait, can I even die in this game?

The automatic doors slide open and the worker at the front desk gives us a smile. God damn it, his smile is perfect.

"You guys make a beautiful couple; I'll get you a room right away." He remarks and starts to type stuff on his hologramic keyboard. Can you see the confused look on my face? Hold up, this person just grabs me, carries me into this Hotel that reminds me of those dirty k-drama clichés, and now the worker thinks that whoever– wait.

I turn around and stare at a guy around my age casually wearing skinny jeans and a white tee shirt. There's no exact emotion he's showing, however. I know that he's looking at me and he just randomly carries me in here, but he has no emotion.

Then he smiles. A radiant smile so beautiful I swear is sent from God Himself.

My cheeks burn like a volcano and I turn back around to the worker. Okay, I need to seriously calm down. This is just nothing; he's probably mist—

"One of you just have to wave your Chips over the door scanner and then your hotel door will unlock." Mr. Yong, his name tag states, says with content in his voice. With a smirk on his face, he hands this white paper bag that is somewhat light and no writing on it. "This bag is for you two to have a safe night. Have a wonderful night!"

A.

Safe.

Night.

S-A-F-E.

No, there's no way on earth that this bag could possibly have such stuff in it. No, I refuse to believe that my preferences are set to such a—

My preferences.

Mellie must've secretly turned my preferences to mature mode.

My Stat box suddenly pops up and a notification comes though:

Kai wants to become your boyfriend. Accept or decline?

This Kai guy reaches around my screen and presses accept for me. Wait, for me? No, he chose to do it without my consent.

"Um—"

"Let's go." His quiet voice tells me as he links his fingers though mine. I trample over my shoelaces and look back at the worker for help.

He just shrugs and winks.

"Kai-ssi, what are you doing? Wait, why are we going on the elevator?!" I hiss because I'm scared to be alone with him even though I secretly want to.

I'm so thirsty.

"Um, to go up to our room?" He pulls us into the elevator and presses the button for floor 3. The doors close and begins to ascend into the air.

As I realize that I'm holding my phone out, which is unlocked, Kai grabs it and starts punching in his name + number into the phone.

"Hey! What ar—" I try to grab it back but he easily blocks me away from it with just one arm. He's so close to my body, no, I'm close to his body. I can't even think anymore.

The elevator stops of floor 3 and the doors open. Kai walks out with the phone in his hand and his own phone tucked in his butt pocket. Not that I was looking there anyways.

*cough*

"It's room C3." I say, basically giving up on my whole life already. His walking is fast like he's anxious for something, but he actually has an okay look on his face.

When I catch up to him, I give him a quick glance and then wave my wrist over the silver scanned. It almost instantly unlocks and I push the door open.

Before I can even catch a breath of the, I'm guessing, nice hotel air, he tucks my phone into his other butt pocket and shuts the door behind us.

"I'll kick you if—"

He locks the door and then looks at me. They're... enchanting. His eyes are just beyond gorgeous; they're going to make a girl fall in love so easily. Like me.

Kai, being like one of those k-drama cliché dudes except a lot hotter and aggressive, pushes me against the wall and closes the gap between us to be reduced to a few centimeters.

I can feel my legs turning into jelly.

"Hello, Krystal." He growls into the left ear.
