"What if this is all a big mistake?" Willa's eyes moved frantically, unsure of where to look.
They landed on Micky's face, calm as ever. "Fine. I'll just take you home and you can spend all night alone, moping."
That was a bitter pill to swallow, that's for sure. Rolling her eyes, Willa fought back.
"What would you do? Go steal cars or something?"
Micky played along. "No, actually I only steal cars on the high holy days."
"You're such a square."
"No. I'm such a badass." he replied.
Willa just blinked her big brown eyes at him, annoyance obvious.
"Really?"
Micky gave in, smiling. "Alright. I guess I'm kind of a square."
Feeling herself calm, Willa beamed back.
This boy did have a strange knack of making her feel at ease.
