Michael's P.O.V
"You guys can't be serious. There's no way in hell i'm doing that!!! No one in the right mind would do that." I argued back, trying to get out of this dumb dare.
My friends and i always played this but i've never had to do something like this. Sometimes i hate Calum for knowing so much about me. I watched Calum smirked and shove me in the direction of her.
"There's no backing out of a dare and you know that. We all know that you like her alot. Just do it, you chicken."
I gritted my teeth, resisting the urge to punch them all. As i dragged myself to Y/N, i could hear all the boy laughing.
As i walked up to Y/N's group, her friends took a step back. Y/N just kind of stared, making me feel awkward.
"Hey, um Y/N... I know this is really sudden but i was wondering if you wanted to go on a date tomorrow?" Her eyes lit up as the words fell out of my mouth.
She nodded in response and smiled, then turned back to her friends. I walked away, mentally high five-ing myself for not backing out.
Y/N's P.O.V
"But don't you think that was weird? He was right; it was really sudden."
My friend Vanessa tried to tell me once more i just shrugged. I was happy he wanted to go out with me, but something felt weird about the way he said it.
I decided to ignore the thought and just enjoy the fact he asked me out.
"You know there leaving for tour when you guys become a couple right?" Y/F/N said, trying to prepare me or something.
"Maybe, it'll work out. Perhaps its only a date. What could go wrong." I continued staring at my feet until someone brought up a new conversation.
Afternoon, the next day
"Does this look alright?" I asked my friend Y/F/N again. I had changed my outfit atleast ten times and still wasn't happy with it.
"Yes, now stop changing or else your hair will look like you just slept through a tornado."
I agree with her and just put it to rest. I applied some light makeup and slipped on my vans.
He told me to meet him at this local frozen yogurt hut in the center of town. I didn't go much because the last time i did someone poured their yogurt on me.
I grabbed my phone and told her goodbye, then walked to the main part of town.
It only took about 20 minutes and by the time i arrived Michael was waiting at a booth. I barely mumbled a hi, which he did the same, and we went to go grab some cups.
We both filled it up a little less than halfway because they charged by how much it weighed. He paid for both of ours and we sat down. Neither of us said a word for a while, until i decided to screw it.
"Do you cone here alot?" I asked, because i had only been here a couple of times.
He shrugged and continued eating the remains of his yogurt. Rude.
"What's your favorite flavor?" He didn't even look up.
"Cookie dough." He got up and threw all away of our trash, right when the door to the shop opened.
The popular group rolled in and i mentally cursed myself. Where is Michael when you need him.
Snickers and laughs rose about, even from people i've never seen.
"Oh hey there... What are you doing here all alone?" Brooke said, more demanding than asking. I remained silent until they stop laughing at me.
Yo Michael come here." One of the jocks slurred, motioning him. I picked myself up and watched as he walk over, not even recognizing my existence.
"What's up?" He replied and bro-hugged.
"Were you hanging out with her?" One of the jocks asked him.
"Yea is there a problem with that." He replied through gritted teeth.
"C'mon Michael we all know about it" Michael seemed to stop for a moment.
"Are you going to ask her out now? The days aren't going to go by quicker if you wait." I was confused especially when he took my hand.
"Y/N, i know this is really soon but i like you alot, will you be my girlfriend?" I was taken back by the words. I didn't want to turn him down and he's cute so...
"Yes." I smiled and he hugged me. I felt eyes pierce through my back but i tried to ignore it, like always. We hugged for less than 5 seconds before he pulled away. That made everything more awkward.
I watched as he whisper something to Calum and they both bro-hugged each other.
"Have fun with your new girlfriend, but I don't think that you need that because you love her." both Michael and i blushed as we left the shop.
Well, i guess i have a boyfriend.
