You and Calum were best friends ever since the first year of high school. You both did random things together. Perform weird experiments and numerous pranks... Then the time came wherein you both admitted that you have feelings for one another so you guys gave it a try. Your relationship turned out pretty well. Until his third year of high school, where calum and his buddies were recognized by some famous management and asked them to perform as an opening act of some band for a whole year. You allowed Calum to go on tour with his bandmates since stopping him is a selfish act and it'd be taking his dreams away from him. You both agreed to keep in touch with one another and make it work between you two. For the first two months you messaged each other 24/7, video called and sent each other things that remind you of each other... But during the third month of his tour it all stopped. He stopped calling you and sending you things. You were a huge mess after that, he didn't even tell you why. You started to self harm and you starved yourself for days. You also went to night clubs and got drunk every night. Your parents got worried about you and your health until they found out what's happening to you and why you're acting that way. They decided to move to another country and start a new life there. You lost contact with all of your friends in your hometown, tho you met new ones on your new residence. But even moving to a different country didn't help in trying not to remind yourself of Calum. Years later... Calum's band got bigger and more well known, they started to make songs and go on tours. Then Calum found out about everything that you did after he left without a trace because your old friends happened to have told him and that's when he also found out that you moved to a different country, he tried reaching out to you, he tried calling you but you chose to ignore it even tho it hurts you deep inside.... You were now on your way to one of your friend's house until... Calum's band were mentioned on the radio. I heard Calum speak through the radio and say 'this song is dedicated to a friend of mine and i made a really huge mistake. Y/n if you're listening i'm really sorry for everything, i hope that one day we'll meet again and talk to like we used to before. I'm so sorry. When the song ended. You felt a tear fall onto your lap, and that's when you realized you were already crying. You couldn't deny that you still love Calum even though he gave you a really hard time. You decided to call him when their song ended.

You smiled when you heard his voice. You tried to stop the tears from flowing but you can't.

He cut you off... With a shaky breath that made you realize that he was crying.

You: why did you stop?
That question made it worse... There was complete silence for a minute until he spoke up.
Calum: i thought it would be the best option so that no one would get hurt... I'm so sorry Y/n. I love you.
You: i love you too. I'll meet you someday Cal. When I'm better. I love the song and i love you more.
Calum: i'll wait for you. No one could ever replace you y/n. I love you and i always will.

You end the call after that and a sigh of relief washed you. It was so nice to be in good terms with him again. All i needed was an explanation. i still loved him and i never really did stop loving him.
