Chapter 16

Ruby's POV

Whilst running I was getting phone calls and texts off Sam, wondering where I was, wanting me to come back, I didn't answer and just carried on running. I started to run out of breath so I stopped at a nearby park, I had no idea where i was, all I knew was that I was in Australia. I sat at a bench, trying to catch my breath. Parents were looking at me in disgust becaue I wasn't at school, and they ended up moving their children away. I started rummaging through my bag looking for money, I found enough to get me a taxi back home. I walked around for a bit looking for a taxi, and I eventually found one. I got in and told him my address. The ride was pretty smooth and before I knew it I was at the bottom of our drive

"That'll be-" I cut the driver off by chucking the money into his hand and ran out into the house. I unlocked the front door, and ran to my room. I tipped my school bag open, and the contents fell out, I rushed around my room getting clothes and other stuff and shoving them into my school bag which is pretty big. I got my purse and put all the money I own into it, I picked up a blanket. I got changed out of my uniform into some light blue skinny jeans and a plain white top with some grey vans on. I was about to leave my room when I heard Police sirens arriving up the drive way. Crap. School must have called them. I climbed out of my window and ended up in the back garden I climbed over the fence and landed in fields, I ran to the other side to where there was streets. I ran and ran until I reached the main road. I went to the train station and got a train to anywhere. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I get there, but I just need to leave.

Luke's POV

"SHE'S WHAT?!" Jai shouted

"She's run off, we've tried calling her and texting, it's just not working." Our headteacher said, Mrs Banks

"Well you obviously haven't tried hard enough, have you." I said. I can't believe this, I knew it was a bad idea her coming back to school. Man when I find out who sent her that text I'll kill them. The school day had finished, so we met up with skip, James, Siobhan and Liz and told them. Rich, Sam, Elliott and Josh had left to go look for her. Jai got in Skips car with Liz and went looking for her as well. And me, Siobhan and James walked around looking.

"What if we don't find her?" I asked

"We will, don't think like that babe" Siobhan said I smiled, but I just feel like we're not going to find her.

Beau's POV

I got into my car and rushed home. I got back in record breaking time, and the police greeted me.

"Where is she?" I said looking around

"We don't know, she ran to the park and then came here, we've figured she climbed out of her window as it's left wide open." A police man said

"Well, why aren't you out looking?" I asked loosing my temper

"We can't look until she's been missing for 24 hours."He said

"WHAT!?" I shouted

"I'm sorry, Mr Brooks, this is all we could do, we're going to have to leave." And with that they sarted to get into cars.

"FINE! I'LL LOOK MYSELF!" I shouted and got in my car and started to drive around. I must have been driving around for ages and still no sign of her, I got a text off mum saying she's staying at home in case she goes home, which is a good idea.

Siobhan's POV

We've been walking around for hours, and it's getting late and dark. I don't even know where we are either. I haven't let go of Luke's hand the whole time. I know he wants to cry but he doesn't want to seem weak. I want him to cry, It'll make him feel better. We walked around for a couple more hours and It eventually turned 10:00 and my parents wanted me home, and Gina wanted the lads back now as well. We got a taxi and It dropped me off first. I'm just praying that Ruby will turn up.

Ruby's POV

I arrived at the last station the train would go to. I arrived at a little place just entering New South Wales . I made my way off the train with my stuff and wandered around for a bit looking for a hotel, but I couldn't find one.

"Excuse me, could you tell me where I can find a hotel please?" I asked a woman who was about 30 I'd say

"Oh, yeas, here get a taxi to take you here, it's very nice" She said and handed an piece of paper she had just written the address on. I thanked her and got a taxi to take me there. I walked in the hotel and she was right, it's lovely, i paid for 1 night, which wasn't too much money. I headed for my room and went to sleep.


Beau's POV

Mum is letting me stay a bit longer out looking for Ruby seen as I have a car, I've been looking for ages and I can't find her. C'mon Ruby. I'm nearly out of Melbourne. I can't leave Melbourne. I'm gonna have to head back, It's nearly midnight. I just hope she turns up tomorrow when the police will actually do something.
