Chapter 22

Beau's POV

I woke slowly as my eye lids felt like they were being sat on by elephants. When I eventually got them open everything was a blur until my eyes adjusted to the bright lights of what I could see was the hospital. I moved my head to the left and saw Jai sat in a chair in the corner, he saw me awake and sat up

"Beau!" He said sitting up in his chair

"Hey" I said, woah, my voice sounds like shit

"You're awake" He said putting his phone in his pocket

"Very observant Master Jai" I said raising an eyebrow

"Very funny, I'll go get mum, she went to get a drink" He said standing up and leaving me alone in the whitest room ever, it looked like I was in heaven or something. Wait. I'm not dead am I? I mean, I know that the gun shot was bad but did it kill me? Only one thing for it. I pinched my lower arm and felt the pinch. Ok so I am alive, scare over. At that moment mum came bursting through the door with Jai behind her

"Beau!" She said rushing over to hug me

"Hi Mum" I said "Mum. You're squeezing me a tad bit hard"

"Oh sorry hun, how are you feeling?" she asked releasing her grip and sitting down

"Um tired but I think I'm ok" I said

"'ll go get Doctor Link" Jai said but behind him was Doctor Link

"Don't worry about that Jai, Ah Beau, now, we said that when you wake up you can leave unless you're throwing up but I don't see any sick so you can return home but get some rest so, no gym for about 1 week, understood? Good If there are any problems I'm sure your mum will bring you back." She said and with that she left

"Well then lest get you changed and ready for home then" Mum said me up and to get changed.

Ruby's POV

"Guys, I'm off to get some pizza because Beau's on his way home now. I'll be back soon!" Luke shouted from the front door

"Don't forget ham and pine apple!" Rich shouted back

"Yeah yeah" Luke shouted back and he left the house.

I was currently sat on the sofa I the living room with Rich watching Bob's Burgers when the house phone started to ring. I stood up and answered the phone

"Hello?" I said

"Hi is Miss Gina Brooks there?" A man asked

"Um, no she's out at the moment but I'm her daughter, can I take a message?" I asked feeling like some sort of secretary.

"Well I guess you'll find out anyways, I rang to say that the three men involved in this incident have been caught and are being arrested. You can all rest easy now." He said

"Oh, thank you so much! That's great news!" I said smiling

"No problem what so ever Miss, goodbye now" The man said and we hung up.

I put the phone down and jumped on to the sofa by Rich

"Who was that?" he asked not taking his eyes of Tina learning to drive

"The police I guess, Hayden and that have been arrested!" I said smiling

"That's great news!" He said actually taking his eyes of the TV and locking them with mine. We stayed quiet for w bit and then we proceeded to lean forward and kiss. It still amazes me that every time we kiss I still get butterflies in my stomach and I can't stop smiling. We heard a car pull up the drive way. We stopped and smiled at each other and walked to the front door opening it to see Jai helping Beau out of the car. I ran over to Beau and hugged him
