Chapter 17

Beaus POV

Last night when I arrived home I could hear mum and Jai arguing again. No change then? It's been 4 weeks since Ruby left, and every day I wake up at 7am and drive around looking for her and still no sign of her. Even the fans have been looking, well the ones that live in Australia, the lads and Siobhan and Liz have been looking as well. Jai hasn't been handling it well at all. He started to take drugs and can't go a day without them. He's really scary when hes taken them, Luke would fear at night so he's had to move into my bedroom. Mum is getting sick of it and threatens to leave, and if she does then it's really all down to me to help him and to find Ruby. I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard mum cry in pain. I dropped my keys and rushed down the hall to Jai's room and saw mum cupping her face crying in pain and Jai was sat in the corner pulling something out of his pocket, probably some form of drug, I put my arm around mum and took her to the kitchen and sat her down. I reach on the top of a cupboard and got the first aid box, he had only slapped her but it made her cheek bleed. I was half way through sorting it when she spoke

"I can't do this anymore Beau" 

"You can mum, we'll find Ruby, I promise"I said

"It's not just Ruby, I can't cope with Jai anymore, I have to leave"She said looking down

"You can't leave mum, If you leave then everything automatically fall onto my shoulders"I said lifting her chin up

"I know, but Beau you're stronger than me, I can't handle this"She said tears forming

"You're tired, go to bed, you don't mean what you're saying"I said wiping the tears. She got up and went to bed. I stayed sat at the table with my head in my hands. We have to find Ruby, If we find her then maybe Jai will stop with the drugs. Agh I don't know anymore. I got up and went to bed setting my alarm to wake me.

*The next day* Still Beaus POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I got out of bed and went for a shower and got changed into some joggers and a hoodie with some trainers, not caring what I looked like, I had a long day ahead of me. I walked to the kitchen to get an apple and bottle of water, i picked up my keys and my phone and opened the front door and saw mum putting a suitcase in her car.

"MUM?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I shouted from the door

"I have to get out of here Beau"She said, I could only just hear her.

"You can't" I said walking dow the drive towards her

"I told you, I can't handle it, I have to go" She said closing the car door and making her was to the drivers seat but I blocked her from getting there

"Beau, c'mon, let's not be childish, move out the way"She said sighing

"No. You're the childish one. Running away from the problem, wont make it any better."I said sternly. She sighed again and I saw Luke walking past the front door to get to the living room.

"LUKE!" I shouted he jumped, and saw what was happening and ran to us

"Mum? Are you leaving?" He said

"Yes, I need some space for a bit"She said

"But you can't"Luke said

"Listen, Luke, I know this is hard, but I know you'll get through this, I know you'll be able to help Jai more than I can. And Beau, You're strong, you can handle Jai no problem, and I know that if focus more you'll find Ruby. I love you both to bits, the same with Jai even if he isn't his self, and I love Ruby. I know you'll be fine. I wont be gone for long, I can't leave you forever. I hope you wont hate me, I need space to think about this all. I love you."She said hugging us both and giving us a kiss on our heads. And she got in the car and drove off. We both stood there looking into the distance in silence.

"C'mon, we can turn this all around, we'll get Jai back and we'll bring Ruby home."Luke said

"You're right. We can do this."I said and we got inside. And Jai came over to us

"Where's my stuff?" He said huffing

"What stuff?" Luke asked 

"Oh, you know what stuff!" he spat and pinned Luke to the wall.

"Hey hey hey, Let him go" I said pulling him of Luke

"You've got it?" Jai said looking at me

"I haven't got anything of yours. Now get back to your room and stay out of our way." I said sternly and he walked off in a sulk. Me and Luke had a sigh of relief, and we made a plan that I would look for Ruby one day then Luke would and whoever is home would sort Jai out. We decided for me to go looking as I was already ready. I got into my car and started driving around.

4 hours later...

I've been driving for a while now and I'm starting to enter new south wales. She wouldn't be here would she? hmm, I dunno, worth a shot. i started driving around, I don't know my way around, so I ended up  going down the same street at least 5 times, I was about to give up and turn back, until I saw a small figure with blonde hair, was it? no? Wait? no It couldn't be her right?
