Chapter 14: Shes mine

After that whole incident with Alex I gave Coda a call. I wanted to go on a date with her again. Since the last one went bad I wanted to make it up to her.

*Ring*       *ring*      *Ring*-

"Hello?" Said a voice I loved hearing.

"Hi" I got nervous for some reason. "I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go to the movies with me" i asked.

"Sur- wait. Can Alex come? I haven't seen him in a while and I want you guys to get a long" she said shyly.

"Yeah that's fine" it wasn't fine. "I'll pick you guys up? Or meet me there?" I asked.

"Uh. Meet us there ok?"

I got jealous again. It should be me being in the car with her, not that Alex guy.

"Sure" I responded.

"Ok great! I'll meet you there. Bye bye!" She said excitedly.

I hung up the phone and put the couch pillow over my face. Why did he have to come? I just wanted it to be me and Coda, not me,Coda, and Alex. But I could try to get along with him. Before i left I kissed Mileena goodbye and grabbed my car keys and walked back out to my car. I got in and turned the engine on.

"Ugh!" I groaned.

I put the car in reverse and backed up. I put it back into drive and drove to the movie theaters. I parked my car close to the entrance since it was kinda empty.

"Zack!" Yelled Coda as she came up to me and wrapped her arms around my neck. I wrapped mine around her waist.

"Hey" Said a very annoyed Alex.

"Sup" I gave him a handshake thing and walked to the booth to buy 3 tickets.

"What movie do you wanna see?" I asked Coda.

"Uh. I don't know. Maybe a scary movie?" She said while looking down.

"You sure? Because I know how scared you get when you watch those" Whispered Alex into her ear.

"Y-yeah...I'm sure" she replied.

"Ok, 3 tickets to see 'The Forest' for 5:30" I said to the guy in the ticket booth.

"Sure. That'll be $15" he said.

I handed him the money and he gave us our tickets. I opened the door to te main lobby to grab snacks and stuff. The smell of buttery popcorn slapped me in the face. I pulled out a $20 and went to the snack bar.

I bought 1 bucket of popcorn and 2 sodas. After buying our snacks we walked to the ticket guy who ripped one piece of the ticket off and told us where to go.

When we entered, there weren't many seats so we chose the top row. We all sat  down next to each other with Coda between me and Alex. I ate a bit of popcorn as the commercials went on.

"I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back" said Coda while getting up.

"Ok" me and Alex replied.

After she left us, Alex turned and looked at me.

"You better watch yourself buddy. Coda is my best friend and I love her. You should back off if you know what's good for you." He said.

"She's mine. Back off Alex. I don't care if your her best friend or whatever, I like her and I'll be a better guy to her." I said angrily.

"No you won't. I know your reputation. The only girl you were serious about was that Elizabeth chick. After she cheated on you, you went bad." He paused and looked me in the eyes "You tell girls things they wanna hear because they're too stupid to realize your manipulating them" he finished.

"Whatever, she makes me feel different than all the girls I hooked up with."

"Exactly, you hooked up with a lot of girls. You could have HIV or something. I don't want Coda's first time to be with a guy who has aids." He said with a smirk.

That pissed me off! I don't have HIV or whatever! I'm clean! I swear! But is she really a virgin? Hm, I'll keep that in mind for later.

"Fuck you" I said before seeing Coda come up the stairs back to her seat.

"Did I miss anything?" She asked while sitting down.

"Nope, me and Zack were just catching up. Right Zack?" Said Alex.

"Yeah." I replied.

"That's good. I like seeing you guys get along." Said Coda with a cute smile.

Throughout the whole movie, Coda would grab my arm and hide her face with it. It was so cute. But a few times Alex would try grabbing her hand, but I wouldn't allow it because I would pull Coda closer to me when he tried. I put my arm around her and let her lean on my side which made her more comfortable because she started to relax in my arms.

I want to stay like this forever...
