Chapter 16: Sleepy

After my date with Coda at the arcade i decided to take her home since it was getting late. I walked her over to the passenger side of my car and opened it for her.

"T-thanks.." Coda said in an almost whisper.

"No problem"

I walked over to the drivers side and got in, hitting my head in the door way.

"Ow!" I yelled while rubbing my head.

I heard Coda laugh.

"Are" *laugh* "you" *laugh* "okay?" She asked trying to stop laughing.

"Mhm.." I said still in pain.

This is embarrassing. I just hit my head on my car. I turned on the engine and backed out of the parking spot before driving to her house. The car ride was silent but it wasn't awkward. Soft quiet music was playing, it was very low but you could still hear it.

I turned my head to Coda to see her beautiful sleeping face leaned against the window. She looked at peace in her sleep. Every now as then she would groan or twitch but I found it cute surprisingly.

When we arrived at her house, Coda was too tired to get up or unbuckle her seat belt so I did it for her and carried her bridal style out of the car and onto her porch. These was a bench right outside her door so I sat down with her in my arms.

I wanted to stay like this but I needed to go home, and she needed to be in bed. I set her down gently on the bench and walked over to my car. Digging through my trunk I found tools I used to use to break into rooms at school. I lock picked her door and picked her back up. She must've been a heavy sleeper because it took me a while to find her room and set her down gently on her bed.

She had silk colored walls, a soft furry carpet, 1 window on the opposite side of the door, a queen size bed with light blue sheets by the window and a stand to the right of it. There was also a closet in it.

I pulled the covers down and gently put her in them and covered her back up. I didn't bother changing her clothes because that's kinda weird. I stared at her beautiful face before leaning into her. I brushed my lips against hers an kissed her forehead before making my way out of her room an out of her house.

I'm glad today went ok. Coda was making me see things differently. I don't have the urge smoke as much anymore. I think I'll stop smoking for her. I'd do anything for her. Anything. She is super amazing and I hope I never loose her.

I stepped into my car and put it in reverse before driving back home and throwing myself in bed with Mileena.

Mileena's paw was healing properly but I need to take her to the vet to make sure she's healthy. I don't wan my new cat to be sick or dying so.

I took my shirt and pants off leaving myself in boxers to sleep in. I pulled my covers up to my chest and turned to my side.
"Is she the one for me Mileena?" I asked petting her. I think she fell asleep though.

Could this shy nerdy girl be stealing my heart? Or am I just being dumb?
