I stared at my reflection, I didn't even recognize myself. Gil's friend Emah asked to do my makeup and ended up doing everything. My hair was up in a curly bun thing that took forever to do, but it looked amazing. There were tendrils that framed a perfectly contoured face with red lipstick.
Then came the outfit. I had a modest blue dress picked out, but she tossed it across the room in disgust apparently it made me look like a smurf. Emah grabbed her duffle bag of darkness (aka the bag with all the beautifying crap in it) and pulled out a dress bag. She laid it on Gil's bed.

"I'll be right back," she stated as she darted out of of the room.

I opened the bag and inspected the dress, it was gorgeous. It was the palest yellow that I have ever seen. I picked it up to inspect it further. It had a solid yellow slip underneath white mesh-like material. The dress itself was princess cut with a sweetheart neckline and short sleeves.
"I'm glad you like it," Emah walked back in with a pair of shoes in her hand, they were simple white wedges with a closed toe. "Why don't you go put it on? The guys will be ready to leave soon and you don't want to be more than 10 minutes late."

Why would it take more than 10 minutes to put on a dress and shoes?

"I'll be downstairs." Emah left the too with he duffle of doom.

I started with my leggings and I thought I thought I heard the door click, but I wasn't sure so I kept getting undressed. I stepped into the dress, and up it on. I hadn't realized that there was a corset back, how was I supposed to do that on my own? I tried anyway. I was struggling to even get the first part tightened when I felt a pair of hands on mine. They guided mine to my side and went to work on the laces. I could hear his breath shorten as it took him longer to tighten it. He kept tightening the laces and tied it at the bottom.

He took a step closer to me and places his hands onto my shoulders, I hadn't realized how much of my shoulders, back and chest was exposed. He was so close behind me that I could feel his breath on my neck. He slowly slid his hands down my back and around my waist. I felt him pull me in closer as he kissed my neck over and over. I turned around to face him.

"Wow."

"What's wrong with it? Is it too low? Too yellow? Come on Gil, what is it?"

"You're.... You look beautiful." Gil sighed as he looked me over.

I looked at him, he was the picture of perfection. He had a long sleeved white dress shirt, a tie the same color as my dress, and a tan/brown vest, and dark jeans on.
"You really think so? You know, you don't look too bad yourself." I reached up to fix his hair.

"You know,I love it when you do that."

"Do what?"

"Everything." He leaned in to kiss me. I started to go up to my toes to kiss him back, but then put my hands on his shoulders to stop him.

"Nonononononono, I have lipstick on, wait until after we sing at least. You don't want yo have red lips."

"I'll take my chances," he whispered as he brought his hand to my neck and pulled me in for a soft kiss.

"You see, no harm done. Your lipstick is practically perfect in every way," he teased when the kiss was over.

"Maybe for me, but you have red lips my friend." It was true. He had gotten lipstick all over his lips. I tried getting it off, but it wasn't working.

"Anne, Gil, we gotta go!" Tyler was banging on the door. "We're gonna be late."

"We'll be down in a minute." Gil called back. "You should probably get your shoes on."

"Yeah, probably," I grabbed the white shoes and sat on the bed to put them on. Gil grabbed the shoes out of my hands as I sat down.

"Allow me," he said as he knelt down to put my shoes on. His hands were slightly shaky as he slipped them on my feet, one at a time. I could see his eyes following the path of my legs, they lingered at the hem of my dress, and eventually found their way up to my blushing face. "Ready?"

I nodded and he stood up and helped me up off the bed. He held my hand as we walked to the top of the stairs.

I looked over the banister to see Tyler, Matt, and Jared in almost the same clothes as Gil, but they looked nothing alike. Tyler hadn't tucked in his shirt, Matt was holding his tie in one hand, and Jared was rolling his eyes at Emah, who was busy fixing his vest.
"Come on guys lets go," Matt tried to walk out the door, tie still in hand.

"We are not leaving this house until each if you are dressed properly." I ordered as we descended the stairway. They all stopped in their tracks to stare up at me with a look of awe.

"Tyler you tuck in that shirt, Jared stop rolling your eyes and Matt, do you not know how to tie a tie? Just come here." I crossed over to him to tie his tie just like Gil had his done. Within five minutes they were ready to leave.

The wedding was phenomenal. We played through the whole reception, only stopping for a few minute break.

Matt drove home with Tyler in the front with him. Jared and Emah were in the truck with the equipment. Gil and I were in the back of Matt's car. The last thing I remember from he ride home was curling up next to him while he sang with the radio.
