The next few months flew by. He made our relationship official and I thought that for once I was almost truly happy. We spent the weekends together when he didn't have band. I stayed over at his house a lot after school an on the weekends, we went to band practice every Monday night. I was starting to really enjoying life for once.

He invited me over to his house one night during Christmas break. To be completely honest, I was terrified. He didn't say what for, he just said to come over. I pulled up to his house scared out of my mind. I knew his reputation, and I knew what usually happened when he invited girls over. I tried to shake the feeling before I got out of the truck, but to no avail.

Web he opened the door, he just smiled that smile that lets me know that everything will be okay. But I was still nervous.

"Hope you like movies," he said as we walked up to his room. I trailed behind slightly, still not sure about his intentions.
We got to his bedroom, it was for to look like a proper movie theatre. The curtains were drawn and there were white Christmas lights strung up on the wall. I smiled when I saw he had a picture of us on his nightstand. Then I saw all the movies he had lined up. Everything from Disney to horror movies. He actually wanted to watch movies.

"What's wrong with it?" He looked concerned.

"Nothing, I just..." I couldn't say it.

"Oh..." He thought about it for awhile, "Anne, I wouldn't do that, not to you, not now. You must have been scared out of your mind the whole way up here."

He crossed over to me and wrapped his arms around me. "I'm sorry," he whispered into my neck.

It felt nice, being in his arms, knowing that there wasn't anything to worry about besides what movie to watch first.
We stood like that for a long time, neither one wanting to let go. After what felt like forever, he whispered, "don't let go." I held on right as he picked me up in one motion and carried me over to his bed.

I was expecting him to put me down, but instead, he held me up a good four feet above the bed, and dropped me. He laughed as I squeaked when I hit the bed.

"Now, what to do with you..." He raised his eyebrows as he tried, but was not succeeding, to look evil. "I know," and with that, he commenced the tickling.

"Stop! Please! No, no, no, no please Gilbert stop!"

"Fine," he said, "But from now on, call me Gil."

I stared at him, soaking in his earnest expression. He had asked me before to call him that, but he never looked so serious.
"Alright. "
