Chapter 47: All my Fault

I look behind me to see everyone else in Wolf form too starring at me just as shocked. I whimper and lay down putting my paws over my eyes ashamed.

He may have been a terrible person but he was still a person.

I feel someone nudge me with their snout and I peek to see Adam in Wolf form starring at me. I put my paws back over my eyes refusing to look at him or anyone else.

" Don't beat yourself up over this. "

I hear Adam tell me. He must have changed back into human form.

" Adam's right we all heard what he did to you he deserved more then a quick death. "

I hear someone else chime in. How can these people be so calm after I just killed someone?

" Change back into human form and we will talk this over. "

Adam tells me and I scoff. Yeah like I know how to do that!

" I forgot this is your first shift imagine yourself in human form. "

I do and the next thing I know I'm in Hunan form naked in front of everyone. My eyes go wide and I run behind a tree not wanting anyone to see me I hear some people laugh.

" Everyone leave now I need to talk to my mate. "

I hear footsteps and everyone is gone but Adam.

" You can come out now it's just me. "

I hear Adam chuckle.

I peek out from behind the tree to make sure he's right and he is.

I run over to him hugging him and probably squeezing the life out of him.

" I missed you so much. "

I sob into his shirt.

" It's ok I'm here now, your safe. "

He said soothingly and rubbed circles on my back.

" I killed him Adam, I killed a living person how can you comfort me? I'm a killer! "

" No your not if you didn't kill him I would have and his death would have been much longer this isn't your fault."

He tells me looking me in the eyes.

" None of this is your fault Ariel. "

I'm the one who ran away, I'm the one who passed out making it easy for him to take me, I'm the one who kissed Steven back, I'm the one who agreed to this wedding, and I'm the one who killed him so how is this not my fault?
