PruCan: Awkward Date

Anticipation

As time grew closer to the dance, conversations did too. They would talk for entire class periods about their likes and interests. They both planned matching outfits. They started texting. At first it was stuff like "hi" and basic stuff. Of course family wanted pictures, so they had to plan that as well. That also means meeting family. Everyday Matthew couldn't wait to go to school just to talk to him. Eventually the week of Snowfest came and Mattie got more and more nervous. He would apologize in advance for his family, thinking the worst would happen. Praying that there were no embarrassing dad jokes. The day finally came. Gilbert would be there about 6:30 and the dance started at 7:30. Gilbert came a little early even and with flowers. He was so polite and kind. He actually seemed nervous. That was a surprise because he almost never seemed nervous. Before his family could be embarrassing, after the pictures were taken, the two left. They headed over to Gilbert's house. It wasn't until the car ride there that Mattie realized he would have to meet Gilbert's family as well. To be honest, he was very nervous. When they got to his house, his parents weren't home yet, so Gilbert gave a tour of his house. Even his office, the room where he keeps his guitars. He had an Xbox One, a ps4, and and Xbox 360. Then they chilled in the living room for a few minutes before his family got there. They asked questions, like what kind of schooling have you had and what activities do you do? After answering all the awkward questions, the both of them leave for the dance.
