CHAPTER 21

I felt room slowly getting emptied leaving only Michael, Andrew, Peter, two guy's I didn't know yet, me and my parents.
"Conner, I'd like you to meet the twins, Axton and Brick. They will be your other guards with your Dad, if you agree."
"I scanned everyone again as they entered so no worries on that front but Axton, Brick can I ask if you know what your Mother is?"
"Our Mother was killed in a rogue attack when we were about four, what did you mean?"
"Before I answer, may I ask your ages?"
"Twenty."
"This information comes from my wolf Elzar. As you know, as wolves we can change at the age of five but we mature between the ages thirteen and fifteen. For other supernatural beings that age differs. I don't think there is an easy way to say this but your Mum was Fae. Fae mature at the age of twenty-one, your birthdays must be soon because I can see your powers start to build."
"I don't know what to say, I'm Axton by the way."
"I'm Brick, would you be able to tell if someone lies?"
"Yes, I take it you want to get your Dad in here and ask why he didn't tell you two."
"Please, we know this isn't the best time."
"Nonsense if we don't do it now you both will just worry and I don't think my family is going anywhere. Michael call their Dad into the office, I can scan him when he comes in and keep in tune with him while I ask questions. Are you both ok with that, I may find things that are hard to hear?"
"Yes, I know I don't like the thought of our Dad lying to us. His name is Zeb."
Michael called Zeb using the pack link and while we waited I spoke to my Dad (so cool I get to say that).
"Dad we asked the twins Dad to come by. We do know that his mate was Fae but he didn't tell the twins. We're going to find out if that was purpose or that he didn't know. Can you stay by me and Michael while I use a power to scan and ask questions? Mum I'm sorry but you'll have to go. Their Dad may have hid more from them and I don't know what his or the twins reactions will be."
"Ok sweetie I go and see what my grandkids are up too. Xander, you keep him safe."
Giving us both a kiss on the cheek I heard her leave the room.
"Son can I just say, one thing I noticed was that for a few seconds your eyes changed colour when you activated a power, they turned purple when we started to come in, you may want to hide that in case people know what to look for, you would be giving away an advantage and they could use that against you."
"Thanks, I don't think anyone has noticed, I certainly didn't know. Michael, did you notice my eyes change when I use a power?"
"No, can you use a power now, he about to come in the house as we speak."
I used my spirit power and could see the grey spirits of Michael and my Dad, the red of Andrew, the twins however were becoming green in colour, indicating earth powers that all Fae have, but they were not going to be at their full potential until their birthday.
"Your Dad was right, your eyes flashed purple so you're using spirit and I'm looking like a ghost."
That man sure knew how to make me laugh and break any tension I was feeling.
"Ahh, but a gorgeous ghost, grey suits you."
Giggling I grabbed him into a hug and kissed his cheek. Just as I let go we heard a knock at the door.
"Enter."
I could see Zeb's 'ghost' as he entered the room. He was the double of the twins but with darker hair and aura of sadness.
"Sir, my name is Conner, I'm the new Luna. Due to circumstances we will be talking to the pack about later, Michael thought it might be best if I have some guards, we have asked your son's along with my Dad Xander to take up these roles. We asked you here because we have a member of the pack that has the power of spirit and could tell that your son's are starting to come into earth power, the power of a Fae to be exact, but in asking the twins about this they had know idea, they did however inform us that your mate past away from a rogue attack when they were younger. Did you know that your wife was Fae." "No."
"Michael, he's lying."
"Then tell him it's you with that power."
"Sir, perhaps I should have said that I am the member with spirit power and I know that you just lied. Why are you hiding the facts from us?"
I could feel the emotional turmoil he was going through "Alpha, I need your promise that nothing will happen to my family."
"Please, it's Michael and we just told you, your son's are to be my mate's guards. Even if that was not the case I would not hurt you or the twins. I know the Alpha before me was a terrible example of what an Alpha should be, I am not him. Please speak and know you are safe."
"Firstly I have to apologize to you boy's, I lied about your Mum for good reason, she did not die in a rogue attack the Alpha had her killed for refusing to teach the warriors Fae fighting styles. Your mother was not a warrior, she was in charge of the food regeneration, making the plants grow and produce crops. He said he would have to kill you two if you were told. I'm so sorry."
The pain and sadness that filled the room was heartbreaking to say the least. Glad to be in Michael's lap I turned and started to cry on his shoulder.
"Baby, I have never been so glad at someone's death, he should never have been an Alpha. Thank the goddess he didn't get his hands on you. Zeb, are there any of the pack left that helped in the death of your mate?"
"No, I killed them when the Alpha died. If you have to charge me and take it to the council then so be it. I would do it again in a heartbeat, my boys are all I have left of my Yvonne, I couldn't lose them too."
"Zeb, I would have done the same thing, I will have to discuss this with the council but I do not see a problem. Your were defending your family."
"Can we go see the boys now, I need to see them"
"Of course baby, we'll go now."
Leaving Zeb and the twins in the office we all made our way to the kitchen.
