All in Good Time ch11

CHAPTER 11

I introduced Aunt Gwen and Uncle Frank to my Mum and my friends. We decided not to tell anyone else about my power starting just yet, we'd wait until after lunch and tell them in the soundproof office. All of a sudden there was a commotion coming from the front door.
"Where is my baby boy and his cute little mate?"
I knew that voice, it was Michael's Dad and he was coming in fast.
"Dad, you promised not to call me after I moved to the new pack and became Alpha."
"Sorry Michael, you're right I did promise, but you'll always be my baby boy. Now where is my new son-in-law Conner?"
"I'm in the kitchen Dad."
Before I could say 'where's Papa' I was enveloped in a hug and spun around in a circle. I felt a little dizzy and had no clue where I was in the room now.
"Dad I'm very glad to meet you in person but you can't spin me like that. Now the map in my head is useless, I don't know where I am now. I don't want to embarrass myself or Michael by walking into things. Please understand."
"Oh Conner, I'm so sorry. I do things without thinking them through and Michael would never be embarrassed by you, fall into everything he wouldn't care about it, only about you and if you got hurt. Now I'm I forgiven because I would hate to have to get the tickle monster to come and get you."
"Okay you're forgiven just don't tickle me. Now I see were Michael gets it from."
I was laughing as Michael and Papa walked in with the bags.
"What are you laughing at baby?"
"How much you're like your Dad, you are both crazy."
"Yeah but normal is boring. I wouldn't want to condemn you to a life of boring baby."
Grabbing his hand to pull him into a hug it wasn't until I heard a gasp that I realized what I just did.
"How did you just do that?"
"Let's go to the office Dad, we'll talk there."
Dad and Papa followed us into the office and after shutting the door we all sat down. Of course I was in my usual seat of Michael's lap.
"I'm sorry Michael, I was laughing and when I looked up at you and I saw your aura, I didn't even think about it, I just grabbed your hand. I should have been more careful, we've not checked the pack yet and anyone could have seen."
He shut up my ramblings by kissing me.
"Don't worry about it, I'm glad you can see me even if it's just my aura and I look like a grey ghost. I will always want to be grabbed by you."
I snuggled in Michael when I heard coughing.
"Someone going to tell us what's going on now?"
"Sorry Papa. One of Conner's powers, or should I say two, happened to turn on this morning. It was his spirit power, he can see auras. I'm grey or my aura is but people like Andrew or you know Aunt Gwen, thanks for the heads up by the way, have a colour corresponding to their power. So Andrew's red, Aunt Gwen is blue."
"And you Dad are white for wind."
"You said that was one of your powers, what else did you get?"
"Well, umm, that's the thing, I got them all, the five different elements. I tried fire when we were talking to Uncle Frank and Aunt Gwen but I got in trouble with Uncle Frank because I used it in the house."
"Don't make it sound like he gave you a time out baby. Anyway, Aunt Gwen told us a way to use Conner's spirit power to weed out the bad seeds in the pack or as Aunt Gwen said spies for the enemy, whoever they are?" "Where are Frank and Gwen?"
"Andrew took them up to one of the guest rooms and Mum and Kate, one of my friends, said they were going food shopping. Alex, my other friend, went on patrol, he's one of the pack's warriors."
"So far that's three pack members we know are in the clear and one family I already asked to leave."
"Why did you ask a family to leave?"
"I don't know if it was the whole family but the father was a homophobic jerk and tried to get the pack members to rally together and throw me out while I was introducing Conner as the Luna, I'd only been there for about three hours, so I said that it was the 21st century and would be hard to find a pack that shared his views."
"Well done son, couldn't have done better myself."
"Thanks Papa."
"What was this guy thinking, we are all bisexual from birth. How can he think that? unless he was a spy and had to get out of the pack quickly. Now he's free to tell whomever that an Alpha has mated a blind rare wolf. Have they left yet?"
"Not yet, I'll mind-link Andrew to get the family put in holding. Conner, me and you will go down there and see if we have a spy."
I never liked Mr Denver and managed to stay away from him. The thought of using this power to do some good made me feel useful, for once I didn't feel like a burden. I'm also lucky that Elzar started to give me helpful advice in what to do when we saw the family in holding.
"We can show you how to block all communication from inside the cells so no messages can be sent out."
"Elzar that would be amazing. Thank you."
